摘要: An OLED device including a cathode, an anode, and having therebetween a light-emitting layer and further comprising a first layer between the light-emitting layer and the cathode containing a cyclobutene compound comprising a cyclobutene nucleus substituted in the 1-position with a five- or six-membered heteroaromatic ring group containing at least one trivalent nitrogen atom; substituted in the 2-position with an aromatic ring group; and substituted with a first methylene group in the 3-position and a second methylene group in the 4-position, provided said first and second methylene groups are further disubstituted in the 1′,1′-positions and the 1″,1″-positions with independently selected aromatic groups.

摘要: The invention provides an OLED device comprising a cathode, an anode, and having there between a light-emitting layer, further comprising, between the cathode and the light emitting layer, a non-luminescent electron transporting layer containing a compound with a 7,10-diaryl substituted fluoranthene nucleus having no aromatic rings annulated to the fluoranthene nucleus and desirably comprises still further an additional layer containing an organic alkali metal compound, located between the cathode and the electron transporting layer.Devices of the invention provide improvement in features such as efficiency, drive voltage, and operational stability.

摘要: The invention provides an OLED device comprising a cathode, an anode, and having therebetween a light emitting layer and an electron transporting layer, (a) the light emitting layer containing a host and up to 50 volume % of a light-emitting fluoranthene compound with a 7,10-diaryl substituted fluoranthene nucleus having no aromatic rings annulated to the fluoranthene nucleus; and (b) the electron transporting layer being located between the cathode and the light-emitting layer containing an organic alkali metal compound. Devices of the invention provide reduced drive voltage of OLED devices, and provide embodiments with other improved features such as operational stability and luminance.

摘要: An OLED device comprising, in sequence, an anode, a light-emitting layer that comprises a phosphorescent light-emitting organometallic compound, a hole-blocking layer, and a cathode, and between the hole-blocking layer and the cathode, a further layer containing a mixture of a first compound that is a tetracene compound that has the lowest LUMO value of the compounds in the layer, in an amount greater than or equal to 10% and less than 90% and a second compound that is a low voltage electron transport material, exhibiting a higher LUMO value than the first compound in an amount less than or equal to 90% and more than 10%.

摘要: A process for synthesizing a single isomer of a naphthacene compound comprises the steps of: (a) reacting a symmetrically substituted 1,1-diarylpropargyl alcohol compound with a reagent capable of forming a leaving group to form a reaction mixture containing a intermediate; and then (b) heating the intermediate in the presence of a solvent and in the absence of any oxidizing agent to form a single naphthacene compound.
