摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed for providing focused ultrasound treatment. A patient is screened to determine if focused ultrasound treatment is appropriate for the patient to treat a disorder. The patient is monitored to measure a plurality of wellness-related parameters for the patient and detect or predict an onset of symptoms associated with the disorder from the wellness-related parameters if focused ultrasound treatment has been determined to be appropriate. A personalized location for focused ultrasound treatment is determined for the patient according to at least one of the wellness-related parameters. At least one parameter associated with the focused ultrasound treatment is selected according to at least one of the wellness-related parameters. Focused ultrasound treatment is provided to the patient at the selected location using the selected at least one parameter. The p wellness-related parameters are measured after focused ultrasound treatment is provided to determine an effectiveness of the treatment.

摘要: Various examples are provided related to synthetic echocardiography. In one example, a method includes receiving surface electrocardiography (ECG) signals obtained from a patient; synthesizing, through a machine learning model, a 3D model of a heart based upon the surface ECG signals; and generating a rendering of the heart based upon the synthesized model of the heart. In another example, a system includes a wearable monitoring device that can collect and transmit surface ECG signals; and a computing device that can receive the surface ECG signals obtained from a patient using the wearable monitoring device; synthesize, through a machine learning model, a 3D model of a heart based upon the surface ECG signals; and generate a rendering of the heart based upon the synthesized model of the heart. The rendering of the heart can be displayed locally (e.g., by the computing device) or transmitted to a user device for display.

摘要: Various examples are provided related to bimodal electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR). In one example, a bimodal resonator includes a detection coil; first and second excitation coils, where the excitation coils are non-parallel separated by a fixed angle; and excitation controllers coupled to the first and second excitation coils. The excitation controllers can adjust radio frequency (RF) fields generated by the first and second excitation coils to produce a resonator field substantially parallel with the detection coil. In another example, a method including generating a first RF field by exciting the first excitation coil; generating a second RF field by exciting the second excitation coil; and producing a resonator field substantially parallel with a detection coil of the bimodal resonator by adjusting the RE field of the first excitation coil, the RF filed of the second excitation coil, or both.

摘要: A method of improving a neurodegenerative or cognitive disorder in a human patient suffering therefrom is provided by determining a target site of the human patient's brain that is affected by the neurodegenerative disorder or cognitive disorder and providing a therapy to the human patient. The therapy includes applying a low intensity focused ultrasound (LiFUS) sonication via an ultrasound delivery device to the target site based on an imaging parameter, a microbubble cavitation; an optical parameter, a bodily fluid parameter, or a physiological or anatomical parameter of the human patient's brain. A therapeutic agent is introduced to the target site before, after or during application of the LiFUS sonication.

摘要: An approximation method and system are provided for more quickly controlling a prosthetic or other device by reducing computational processing time in a muscle model that can be used to control the prosthetic. For a given muscle, the approximation method can quickly compute polynomial structures for a muscle length and for each associated moment arms, which may be used to generate a torque for a joint position of a physics model. The physics model, in turn, produces a next joint position and velocity data for driving a prosthetic. The approximation method expands the polynomial structures as long as expansion is possible and sufficiently beneficial. The computations can be performed quickly by expanding the polynomial structures in a way that constrains the muscle length polynomial to the moment arm polynomial structures, and vice versa.
