Abstract: A four-stroke engine is provided to lubricate driving parts including a crankshaft and valve operating members while circulating oil, using pressure fluctuation in a crank chamber, the pressure fluctuation being caused by reciprocating motion of a piston. A cam driving parts move with rotation of the crankshaft; a driving chamber and a rocker chamber are connected to one another; the rocker chamber is connected to the crank chamber and a gas-liquid separator; the oil accumulated in a tank is sucked up into the crank chamber and circulated through each part of the four-stroke engine; the crank chamber and the driving chamber are connected to one another via a communicating passage and a return passage; and the crank chamber and the driving chamber connected to one another via the return passage communicate with one another only when the piston is located in a vicinity of the top dead center.

Abstract: The present invention provides a fixing device that can interrupt power supply to the resistive heat layer more reliably than the conventional technology, for example, at occurrence of abnormality. Electrodes 52a and 52b are provided on a circumferential surface of a fixing roller that includes a resistive heat layer that generates heat by receiving power supply, and power is supplied to the resistive heat layer when power supplying electrodes 54a and 54b that are electrically connected to an electric power source 55 are slidingly in contact with the electrodes 52a and 52b. An insulating tape 522a is attached on the electrode 52a, and the drive controller 59 rotates a motor 58 until the electrode 52a and the insulating tape 522a are in contact with each other, so that power supply to the resistive heat layer is interrupted.

Abstract: Provided is a laminated body capable of reducing the surface roughness of the surface of a roughening-treated cured body layer, and increasing the adhesive strength between the cured body layer and a metal layer. A laminated body includes a cured body layer formed by: laminating a resin film on a substrate, forming a preliminary-cured body layer by preliminary-curing the resin film at 100° C. to 200° C., and performing a roughening treatment on the surface of the cured object layer at 55° C. to 80° C. The resin film is formed from a resin composition including an epoxy resin, a phenol curing agent, a curing accelerator, and a surface-treated substance which is a surface treated, using 0.5 to 3.5 parts by weight of a silane coupling agent, on 100 parts by weight of inorganic filler with a mean particle diameter of 0.05 to 1.5 μm. The silane coupling agent has an epoxy group, an imidazole group, or an amino group.

The stream encryption device performs XOR operation with a plain text so as to create an encrypted text. The stream encryption device performs an encryption process in units of words by using a clock controller. It includes: a first pseudo random number generation means to generate a first pseudo random number sequence from key information; a second pseudo random number generation means to generate a second pseudo random number sequence based on clock control performed according to the first pseudo random number sequence; and, a keystream generation means to generate a keystream by applying a nonlinear function calculation to the second pseudo random number sequence.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display (LCD) panel with a backlight module including a light-emitting diode (LED)-based illumination device is disclosed. The illumination device includes more than one LED of the waveguide type for use as a light source of the backlight. The LCD panel includes a pair of substrates, a liquid crystal (LC) layer interposed between these substrates, and a polarization plate. Output light of the LED is linearly polarized in advance. A waveguide is arranged for giving off polarized light components from the LED only in a chosen direction to thereby permit incidence in parallel with a polarized light transmission direction of the LCD polarizer plate. The LED is amounted and arranged so that the polarized light transmission direction of the polarizer plate is the same as the polarization direction through an optical system associated therewith.
