Abstract:
Various methods for performing energy management via a sub-system are provided. One example method includes receiving a user input while a main processing system is in a power saving mode and buffering a representation of the user input. The example method further includes, in response to receiving the user input, triggering a wake up of a main processing system from the power saving mode, and causing transmission of the representation of the user input to the main processing system for processing. Similar and related example methods and example apparatuses are also provided.

Abstract:
A diffractive optical element includes a diffractive surface. Raised portions and recessed portions are alternately arranged on the diffractive surface. A shape of the valley bottoms of the recessed portions varies according to regions of the diffractive surface.
Abstract:
This is to shed light on a glass composition suitable for a thin lens, and provide a lens (an optical component) manufactured with using the glass. A concave lens as an optical component is made of glass containing 12 to 16% of B2O3, 35 to 44% of La2O3, and 3 to 8% of ZnO, expressed as wt %. The concave lens has a thickness t1 in its center portion of 0.5 mm or less, and a ratio (W/t1) of an external diameter W with respect to the thickness t1 of 24 or more. The concave lens can be produced suitably by press forming.

Abstract:
An optical element includes: an optically functional part having a first convex surface and a second convex surface intersecting with an optical axis and facing opposite to each other; and an outer peripheral part provided around the optically functional part, the outer peripheral part having a first outer peripheral surface extending from a periphery of the first convex surface and a second outer peripheral surface extending from a periphery of the second convex surface. The first outer peripheral surface and the second outer peripheral surface each are formed to be tapered. A thickness of the outer peripheral part in an optical axis direction is reduced toward a direction moving away from the optical axis.
Abstract:
A cemented optical element includes a convex lens and a concave lens. The convex lens has a first convex surface and a second convex surface that are rotationally symmetric with respect to an optical axis. The convex lens has an edge with a thickness of substantially zero. The concave lens has a concave surface bonded to the first convex surface of the convex lens. Preferably, the peripheral portion of the concave lens extends radially outwardly beyond the convex lens to the extent that it is located within an area surrounded by an extension zone of the second convex surface of the convex lens.

A prism 30 includes a prism body 30. The prism body 31 is formed into a polygonal column. At least one of a plurality of ridges 35, 36 of the prism body 31 is formed into an R-plane.
Abstract:
The present invention belongs to a technical field related to a composite optical element including a first optical component and a second optical component coupled to the first optical component. In a composite optical element 1 including a first optical component 10 and a second optical component 20 coupled to the first optical component 10, shape accuracy of the second optical component 20 is improved to prevent reduction in optical performance. A ring member (106) is placed on a peripheral portion of a lens surface (10b) of the first optical component (10), the ring member (106) having a height h1 from the lens surface (10b) substantially uniform in a circumferential direction of the first optical component (10).
Abstract:
An ion generating device generates O2−(H2O)n (where n is a natural number) as negative ions and H+(H2O)m (where m is a natural number) as positive ions, and discharges those ions into the air so that airborne germs are killed through an oxidation reaction by hydrogen peroxide H2O2 or radical hydroxyl OH generated through as an active species a chemical reaction between the negative and positive ions. Satisfactory sterilization is achieved when the negative and positive ions are generated in such a way that the concentrations of the negative and positive ions are both 10,000 ion/cc at a distance of 10 cm from the point at which they are generated.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an agent for preventing or suppressing hepatic dysfunction which may be taken daily and continuously, has excellent safety, and is capable of effectively preventing and/or suppressing hepatic dysfunction, such as hepatocellular necrosis, and functional food, such as foods for specified health uses, for preventing or suppressing hepatic dysfunction containing this agent. The agent for preventing or suppressing hepatic dysfunction of the present invention contains whey as the active component, and the functional food for preventing or suppressing hepatic dysfunction contains the agent for preventing or suppressing hepatic dysfunction.
