摘要： The information storing medium has a substrate, a storing element, provided on the substrate, for storing information, a protecting portion, covering the storing element, for protecting the storing element, an electrical contact point that is provided beside the protecting portion on a side of the substrate, on which the storing element is provided, and is electrically connected to the storing element, and a sliding region that is provided on the electrical contact point. In the information storing medium, when the storing medium is mounted on the apparatus main body, the electrical contact point contacts a main body electrical contact point provided on the apparatus main body. Also, when the electrical contact point and the main body electrical contact point contact each other, the main body electrical contact point slides on the electrical contact point in the sliding region.

摘要： The present invention relates to an image forming apparatus in which a sheet cassette for containing sheets is removably mounted to a body of the apparatus. The image forming apparatus comprises a frame structure having a pair of legs spaced apart from each other, a bottom plate arranged on the legs, a first side plate arranged at one ends of the legs and uprightly mounted on the bottom plate, a second side plate arranged in confronting relation to the first side plate at the other ends of the legs and having a lower end portion extending below the legs and covering the other ends of the legs, and stay members for interconnecting the first and second side plates at their upper portions.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes an image forming station for forming an image on a sheet; a rotatable member for transferring the sheet in a first direction toward the image forming station; supporting device for supporting the rotatable member for displacement in a second direction which crosses the first direction; driving device for displacing the rotatable member in the second direction to correct deviation of the sheet in the second direction; and inlet guide for guiding the sheet to the rotatable member, the guide being displaceable in the second direction together with the rotatable member.

摘要： An image forming apparatus capable of reproducing in different colors a plurality of image areas selected from a plurality of different originals on a single copy sheet.The apparatus comprises a transparent original holder device on which is placed an original in such a way that the image bearing surface of said original faces downwardly; a first original placement reference indicating device disposed on the transparent original holder device; an original pressure device which is movable between a first position at which the original pressure device covers the transparent original holder device and a second position at which the original pressure device opens the transparent original holder device; an image area designation device which is disposed on the surface of the original pressure device and on which is placed an original with the image bearing surface thereof faced upwardly so as to designate an image area to be copied of the original; a second original placement reference indicating device which is disposed on the surface of the original pressure device and is provided for the image area designation device; and a scanning device for exposing and scanning the original placed on the transparent original holder.

摘要： A starter mounting structure for a starter for cranking an engine (1) has a transmission case (2a) surrounding the transmission (2) and having an engine side end surface (200) facing an engine side. The engine block (1b) has a transmission side end surface (110, 120) facing a transmission side and partially overlapping the engine side end surface (200) of the transmission case (2a). An outer periphery (140) of the transmission side end surface (110, 120) of the engine block is partially equipped with a recess which extends on a crankshaft (5) side with respect to an inner periphery (240) of the engine side end surface (200) of the transmission case. An opening portion (13) is formed in correspondence with the recess. The starter mounting structure has a starter mounting member (9) closing the opening portion (13) and supporting the starter (8).

摘要： The present invention provides a cassette loading device for an image forming apparatus including a sheet feeding portion within which a cassette for accommodating sheets is loaded, and a sheet feeding device arranged in the sheet feeding portion and adapted to feed the sheet from the cassette loaded within the sheet feeding portion. The cassette loading device has a guide for guiding the cassette to be loaded; a cassette shifting device rotatable along the guide means and having pins engageable with the cassette inserted into the sheet feeding portion; a driver for driving the cassette shifting device; vertical surfaces formed in the cassette and against which the pins are abutted to shift the cassette; and horizontal recesses formed in the cassette and adapted to direct the pins toward the vertical surfaces. The present invention further provides an image forming apparatus which includes an image forming apparatus for forming an image on the sheet being fed, and the above-mentioned cassette loading device.
