摘要: An image forming apparatus is provided, including a conveying member configured to convey a long paper along a paper path; an image forming unit which forms an image on the long paper being conveyed by the conveying member along the paper path; an image reading unit which reads a surface of the long paper, the surface having the image formed by the image forming unit; and a color sample member which is arrangeable at a position facing the image reading unit, such that the long paper is conveyed by the conveying member to avoid passing through between the image reading unit and the color sample member. 摘要: An image forming apparatus forms a color image on a recording medium by superimposing images of colors formed by image forming units. The apparatus includes a processor that: acquires a read image by reading the recording medium on which the color image has been formed; forms a register patch outside a job image forming region of the recording medium; and corrects image forming positions of the image forming units based on the read image that includes the register patch. The register patch includes: a leading end patch and a rear end patch formed with a reference color material; and one or more measurement target color patches formed with measurement target color materials between the leading end patch and the rear end patch. The hardware processor corrects the image forming positions based on relative positions of the leading end patch, the rear end patch, and the measurement target color patches.

The displacement amount detecting device simultaneously detects the identical reference image using the density detecting sensor and the surface potential sensor to ensure simultaneous detections of displacement amounts in the main-scanning direction and the sub-scanning direction.

摘要: An image forming apparatus includes a sheet feeder, a sheet conveyor, an image former, a fixer, a colorimeter and a processor. The fixer fixes an image formed on a sheet by the image former. The colorimeter is provided on a down-stream side than the fixer in a sheet conveying direction and reads the image. The processor calibrates the colorimeter based on the image read by the colorimeter. When an image for calibration which is formed in advance on a color sample housed in the sheet feeder is made to be read by the colorimeter, the processor controls at least one of the sheet conveyor, the image former and the fixer according to a condition for controlling deterioration of the color sample which is different from a condition of when carrying out an image forming.
