Abstract:
An anode of a battery comprises lithium metal, and a dopant, in the lithium metal. The anode has a thickness of at most 50 μm, and the dopant is a metal with an electronegativity greater than lithium.
Abstract:
A photovoltaic device, comprises (1) a first conductive layer, (2) an optional blocking layer, on the first conductive layer, (3) a semiconductor layer, on the first conductive layer, (4) n light-harvesting material, on the semiconductor layer, (5) a hole transport material, on the light-harvesting material, and (6) a second conductive layer, on the hole transport material. The light harvesting material comprises, a pervoskite absorber, and the second conductive layer comprises nickel. The semiconductor layer tray comprise TiO2 nanowires. The light-harvesting material may comprise a pervoskite absorber containing a psuedohalogen.

Abstract:
A lower back exercise apparatus exercises or imparts laterally and upwardly directed movements into a user's lower back when seated thereupon. The lower back exercise apparatus includes a lower base assembly, an upper seat assembly, and a motor assembly. The lower base assembly includes an upper, laterally concave base surface. The upper seat assembly includes a lower, laterally convex seat surface and an upper seat surface. The upper seat assembly is laterally ridable upon and movable relative to the lower base assembly. The motor assembly is drives a laterally directed, cylindrical arc length trajectory of the upper seat assembly relative to the lower base assembly. The concave and convex surfacing have a common radius of curvature with a common fulcrum point spatially located adjacent an upper portion of a user's lumbar spinal region Lateral flexion is thus imparted into a user's lower back when a user is seated thereupon.
Abstract:
An electrochromic device comprises (i) a conductive layer, (ii) an electrochromic material, on the conductive layer, (iii) an electrolyte, on the electrochromic material, and (iv) a counter-electrode, on the electrolyte. The conductive layer has a surface roughness factor (SRF) of at least 10, and the conductive layer comprises a semi-metal.
Abstract:
Novelty charger devices provide users with a miniature portable battery for charging electronic devices such as smart phones and the like for up to roughly two hours of talking time. Further, the devices are designed to provide connector functionality for interconnecting, linking, or communicating electronic devices. Other features include device-locating functionality; visual alerts when the invention is distanced from a linked electronic device or when an incoming signal is detected; and built-in features for enabling remotely-controlled photographic capabilities. The novelty charger devices include a circuit assembly having a power source and at least one pivotal adapter element, and a housing assembly defining at least one adapter-receiving hollow construction. Each pivotal adapter element is pivotally receivable in an adapter-receiving hollow construction. The housing assembly encloses the power source, which source charges a select electronic device via the at least one pivotal adapter element when pivoted into a for-use configuration.
Abstract:
An indexing cap assembly indexes visual cues or indicia during an open and close cycle so as to help users more easily track container entry as for example with regard to medications so as to ensure proper dosage. The indexing cap assembly basically incorporates six components, including a cover construction, an indexing plate or wheel, a compression coil or spring, a push plate construction, a gear tray or swing plate construction, and an assembly ring. The cover construction and assembly ring are joined together to essentially form or close the cap assembly with the other parts coaxially aligned and operable therebetween. The indexing wheel is rotatively received within the cover construction such that axial displacements of the push plate advance the indexing wheel and indicia upon its upper surface are sequentially revealed by way of the window formed in the cover construction.
Abstract:
Oral care compositions containing a stannous salt and sodium tripolyphosphate are provided where stannous tripolyphosphate ionic intermediates comprise less than about 1% of the compositions Tetrasodium pyrophosphate, a methylvinyl ether-maleic anhydride copolymer and/or a silica oral polishing agent may be added for further efficacy. In a single phase blend, the oral care composition may be effectively limited to comprise less than about 10% water. In a dual-phase blend a mixture having the stannous salt in a first phase and the sodium tripolyphosphate in a second phase may be generated from a dual chamber storage tube (with each phase provided from a separate chamber) immediately prior to dental care usage.
Abstract:
A lock device includes a first magnetic component, an electromagnetic member, an electromagnetic lock module and a second magnetic component. The first magnetic component is disposed inside a first casing movably in a first direction. The electromagnetic member is disposed inside a second casing movably in a second direction. The electromagnetic lock module is disposed inside the second casing for magnetizing the electromagnetic member, such that the electromagnetic member is moved in the second direction to attract the first magnetic component when the second casing is closed to the first casing. The second magnetic component is disposed inside the first casing and for activating the electromagnetic member when moving to a first activating position in the first direction, such that the electromagnetic lock module stops magnetizing the electromagnetic member, so as to release attraction between the electromagnetic member and the first magnetic component.
Abstract:
A multi-benefit oral composition is provided. The oral composition is efficacious as an antibacterial, antiplaque, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, and anti-halitosis oral composition. The active ingredient has one or more active compounds from an extract of oregano. The oral composition can be in the form of a mouth rinse; a dentifrice, including toothpaste, gels, powders; animal products; a film; or confectionaries, such as lozenges, and the like. Methods of making and using the oral composition are also provided.
