摘要： Embodiments of the present invention include a system and method for implementing a presence system. According to an embodiment of the present invention, responsive to receiving a request for presence information associated with a presentity from a watcher, the presence system receives instructions indicating that an authorization instance other than the presentity shall be given an opportunity to change or verify an authorization rule associated with the request for presence information. As a consequence, the presence system notifies the authorization instance of the request for presence information, thereby enabling the authorization instance to change or verify the authorization rule. The presence system also makes a final decision on the authorization rule on the basis of the instructions and a notification indicating a change or verification of the authorization rule.

摘要： Method and arrangement in a notification server (100) for providing data of a presentity to a watcher (104). In this method, the notification server receives (1:1) published data from multiple sources (102) associated with the presentity. The notification server further selects (1:2) a composition policy from a set of predefined composition policies (100a) based on information regarding the watcher, and composes (1:3) a notification by applying the selected composition policy to the received data. The notification is then sent (1:4) to the watcher. In this way, it is possible to avoid any conflicting and/or overlapping data in the notification.

The authorization procedure comprises providing at least one attribute, associated with the preferences of the second client to the first client as an XML extension document. After having interpreted the one or more attributes, the second client may choose to authorize the request, either according to the request, or according to a sub-set thereof, or to deny the request.

A method for operating a communication system comprising a presence server and a presence document server is provided, the communication system being adapted to communicate with a first client requesting subscription to the presence data of a presentity using a second client, the method comprising the steps of: sending, in case the subscription is to be confirmed or politely blocked, a request for presence data from the presence server to the presence document server; receiving a message comprising presence data of the presentity from the presence document server; and sending a notification message to the first client based on the received presence data of the presentity.

摘要： A method, a server and a client for enabling time limited modifications of XML nodes in XML documents, where a modified document can be restored to its original content upon expiry of an expire time, which has been specified for the modification, are provided. A request for a time limited modification of an XML node, including an expire time, is transmitted from a client to a server. At the server, a timer is either started, in case no timer is pending for the XML node, or re-set, in case a timer is already pending for the XML node. The present version of the XML node is stored, before it is modified, according to modification data provided in the request. Upon timer timeout the requested modification will no longer be valid, and therefore the XML node is restored to its stored version of the XML node.

The basis of the method is to provisioning for a differentiated distribution rate to be applied together with the notification scheme when distributing notifications which have been received from a notification source function and which are associated with the subscriber. The provisioning is based on user traffic statistics on traffic involving a registered subscriber, and which has been generated in the communication network, and where the statistics has been acquired from a statistics server and accumulated by the notifier.

The Presence Server receives a request from the XDM client and identifies the Watcher on the basis of content of the request. 摘要： A method is provided of communicating configuration information to a network service that is scaled over a plurality of network nodes. The method comprises designating one of the nodes of the plurality as a master node (S1), providing an XML Document Manager Server, XDMS, function in the master node (S2), arranging for the configuration information to be provided to the XDMS function in the master node (S3), and arranging for the XDMS function in the master node to communicate the configuration information to the non-master nodes (T6), or at least any of the configuration information that is relevant to them, such that configuration can be performed in each node of the plurality based on the configuration information (T8). The method is best to be performed in a UMTS environment in combination with an IP Multimedia Subsystem, however it can also be performed in any other network.

摘要： A method enabling a service at a communication network node and a network node adapted to execute the method is provided, wherein a first request, requesting for one or more operations to be associated with a symbol, is received from a first user. The request comprises an instruction, identifying one or more operations. The request triggers the generating of a unique symbol identity, and the creation of a symbol record, associated with the symbol identity, wherein the symbol record, linking the symbol identity to the one or more operations. At the node the symbol identity is also associated with the generated symbol, which is created by a symbol server and forwarded to the first user. Once the symbol has been received by the node in a second request, the symbol identity corresponding to the symbol is retrieved from the symbol server, and the service is enabled by executing the one or more operations according to the symbol record identified by the symbol identity.
