    摘要: The communication apparatus including: a communication unit communicating with external apparatuses via a communication line; a notification unit notifying, from the communication unit, the external apparatuses of stop of electric power supply to a controller controlling operation, when electric power supply to the controller is stopped; an identification information memory for storing identification information of one of the external apparatuses when, after the notification unit makes the notification, the notification unit again makes the notification to the one of the external apparatuses upon receipt of a signal from the one of the external apparatuses; and a signal processor processing a signal received from any of the external apparatuses by the communication unit. The signal processor discards a signal, when a transmission source of the signal is one of the external apparatuses having the identification information matching the identification information stored in the identification information memory.

    摘要: A sheet identifying apparatus includes: an excitation coil disposed upstream in a passage through which a sheet inserted into an input port passes and wound on an outer periphery of the passage; a first output unit that detects a magnetization variation of a magnetic element due to the excited excitation coil when the sheet having the magnetic element passes through a region of the passage where the excitation coil is disposed in a state where an AC current is applied to the excitation coil and that outputs a first detection signal when the magnetization variation is detected; and a second output unit that detects that the sheet passes through a region downstream in the passage on the basis of a characteristic of the sheet without using the magnetic element and that outputs a second detection signal when detecting that the sheet passes through the region.

    摘要: When a user who has a magnetic substance attached paper enters a gate which generates a magnetic field, steep magnetization reversal is produced in the magnetic substance by the magnetic field. As a result, pulse current flows into a detection coil provided in the gate, and a generated waveform signal indicating a characteristic transient response is output to a terminal device. The terminal device calculates correlation coefficients of this waveform and a plurality of stored reference waveforms, additionally calculates an average of the calculated correlation coefficients, and determines whether or not the average is equal to or more than a threshold. When the average is equal to or more than the threshold, the terminal device instructs an imaging device to image a user. When the average is below the threshold, the imaging device is not allowed to image the user.

    摘要: The information processing system includes: an information processor operating in an active state and a power saving state consuming less power than the active state, and recovering to the active state by receiving a signal in the power saving state and processing information in the signal; a signal transmitting device transmitting a signal to the information processor; and a communication line establishing communication between the information processor and the signal transmitting device. The signal transmitting device transmits the signal after appending, to a predetermined region inside the signal, the identification information for identifying a processing content of the signal. The information processor specifies the processing content from the identification information when receiving, in the power saving state, the signal, recovers to the active state where power is supplied to a functional unit to execute the processing content, and starts processing on information stored in a data region of the signal.
