    摘要: An image forming apparatus for forming a plurality of images at different positions on a single recording sheet is disclosed. In order to form a plurality of original images on a single recording sheet with a simple operation, the image forming apparatus includes exposure device for exposing an original, magnification input device for inputting an image formation magnification of the original exposed by the exposure device, first size signal generation device for generating a first size signal indicating a size of the original exposed by the exposure device, image forming device for forming an image on the original exposed by the exposure device on the recording sheet at the magnification input by the magnification input device, and for forming a plurality of original images at different positions on the single surface of the single recording sheet, second size signal generation device for generating a second size signal indicating a size of the recording sheet, and control device for determining the number of originals whose images can be formed on the single recording sheet, on the basis of the magnification input by the magnification input device, the first size signal generated by the first size signal generation device, and the second size signal generated by the second size signal generation device.

An optical reading scanning speed by the line sensor can be freely changed. There are a first mode for zooming a read image by changing the scanning speed of the line sensor, a second mode for zooming the read image by the magnification processing circuit, and a third mode for commonly performing the zoom by changing the scanning speed of the line sensor and the zoom by the magnification processing circuit. Any one of the modes is adaptively selected in accordance with a size of original and a reading resolution.

    摘要: In response to the setting of a first face-down mode on an operation panel, a topside pickup roller picks up documents stacked face-up in a document tray to bring the document to a document platen. In response to the setting of face-up mode on the operation panel, a bottom-side pickup semi-circular roller picks up documents stacked face-up in the document tray to bring the document to the document platen. A copying operation is now performed. In a single-side mode, recording sheets are inverted through a inverter path and then discharged in the face-down mode. Depending on the user's preference, the recording sheets are discharged face-down or face-up. In either discharge mode, the order of pages of copied recording sheets is not reversed.

    摘要: The present invention is to allow display based on the setting positions of devices in selection of a desired device to be used, and facilitate selection considering the setting positions of the devices. The present invention can also display equipments so as to allow discrimination between an equipment included in an image processing apparatus and an equipment connected on a communication line. Equipments in a network environment are placed on the first floor (1F), the second floor (2F), and the third floor (3F) in a building and connected through a network (LAN 1300). For example, a computer (1310) collects device information including status information and setting position information from usable input/output devices. For example, status information representing “BUSY” and setting position information representing “3F-B block” are transferred from a virtual optical scanner (1302). The computer (1310) displays the connected input/output devices together with the setting position information obtained from the devices. An image processing apparatus (100) has various input/output devices including a reader unit (1), a printer unit (2), and an image input/output control unit (3). In addition, various input/output equipments (two optical scanner devices (1302, 1303) and three facsimile transmission/reception devices (1305, 1306, 1307)) are connected to the image processing apparatus (100) through a LAN interface unit (9) and the LAN (1300). A CPU (123) of a core unit (10) manages the input/output equipments to determine whether they are connected through the network. When a desired input/output equipment is to be selected, whether the input/output equipments are connected through the network is explicitly indicated.

    摘要: A power supply controller for use in an image formation apparatus includes a first control circuit for controlling the image formation apparatus to form an image, a second control circuit for controlling electric power supplied to the image formation apparatus, a first power supply for supplying electric power to the first control circuit, a second power supply for supplying electric power to the second control circuit, and a third power supply for supplying electric power to a load in the image formation apparatus. The apparatus further includes a dew protection switch operable in an on-state and an off-state. The on-state sets an operation mode of the image formation apparatus to prevent dew condensation inside the image formation apparatus. Finally, the apparatus includes a low power consumption mode setting device for setting a low power consumption mode of the image forming apparatus. When the low power consumption mode is set and the dew protection switch is in the on-state, the second control circuit turns off the third power supply and maintains operation of the first and second power supplies. When the dew protection switch is in the off-state, the second control circuit turns off the first and third power supplies and maintains operation of the second power supply.
