    摘要: A separation assembly is generally described that can chemically treat condensate material in a fluid stream. One particular example of a separation assembly is a crankcase filtration assembly used in engine oil filtration and that includes an additive material disposed within the crankcase filtration assembly. The additive material chemically treats condensate material of blow-by fluids received by the crankcase filtration assembly when a condition is present in the condensate material. For example, the crankcase filtration assembly provides a unique structure with a chemically treated component that can reduce an acidic condition in condensate material received by the crankcase filtration assembly, and even more generally may extend engine oil life.

    摘要: A fluid filter assembly of a filtration system is described. The filter assembly described includes a cover member and a filter cartridge having at least one filter element and a plate member. The plate member includes a seal surface on one side facing the cover member, and a seal surface on another side facing away from the cover member. The seal surface facing the cover member is configured to seal with the cover member, and the seal surface facing away from the cover member configured to seal with another component of the filtration system. The assembly provides a structure that can retain a seal between sealing surfaces of the cover and the filter cartridge, at least while the fluid filter assembly is being serviced, so as to at least minimize fluid dripping and leakage.

    摘要: A coalescing filter assembly having an upstream chamber, a downstream chamber, and a weephole connecting the upstream chamber to the downstream chamber. The downstream chamber includes a coalescing filter to filter a flow of gases. A passageway may be implemented between the upstream chamber and the downstream chamber to accommodate the flow of gases therethrough, while the weephole enables liquid to seep from the upstream chamber to the downstream chamber. In this manner, the weephole reduces liquid pooling in the upstream chamber without substantially compromising the efficiency or performance of the coalescing filter. A drain may connect to the downstream chamber to drain liquid collected therein.
