The method comprises exchanging (202) between the mobile station and the base station, during the random access procedure, information on a selected DRX scheme to be used for communication between the mobile terminal and the base station in the random access procedure, setting (204) the mobile terminal in DRX mode according to the selected DRX scheme and receiving (206) at least one message from the base station during the random access procedure, wherein the at least one message was transmitted according to the selected DRX scheme. The disclosure also relates to a corresponding method in a base station, and to a mobile terminal and a base station. By such methods, base station and mobile terminals, battery power in a mobile terminal may be saved during a random access procedure.

    摘要: A method performed in a radio network for determining a resource allocation between downlink and uplink for use in a radio interface between a radio network node and at least one mobile communication terminal in a mobile communication network. The method includes determining content types of a first established channel over the radio interface and of a second established channel over the radio interface, respectively. Downlink-to-uplink indicators associated with the respective content types are obtained. Resource usages of the first established channel and the second established channel, respectively, are obtained. Using the downlink-to-uplink indicators and the resource usages, a combined downlink-to-uplink ratio is determined. The combined downlink-to-uplink ratio is applied. A corresponding network node, computer program and computer program product are also presented.

In accordance with an embodiment of the invention, an apparatus receives a request for resources from a terminal, and identifies available resources on an unlicensed band based on the request. The apparatus further reserves the identified available resources for use by the terminal, and transmits a reservation response to the terminal, wherein the reservation response comprises information relating to the reserved available resources. Further, the apparatus transmits data to the terminal over a licensed band and the available resources reserved on the unlicensed band.
