    摘要: One exemplary implementation of the present disclosure is directed to a lighting system for detecting the source of glare in imagery. The lighting system includes a first illumination light and a second illumination light each having an associated signal light. Each illumination light is configured to be illuminated independent of the other illumination light and both signal lights. Each signal light has a different spectral peak from the other signal light. The lighting system further includes a control system configured to control the illumination of the first and second illumination lights and associated signal lights based at least in part on identified glare.

    摘要: A self-tailing arrangement for a winch comprises a rope guide channel defined by upper and lower guide rings which are rotatable with a drum and adapted to grip rope therein. A feeder arm guides rope between the drum and the rope guide channel and is fixed with respect to a support. A spring-mounted retainer guide guides rope between the rope guide channel and an unloaded end of the rope. The drum is rotatable with respect to the retainer guide. The retainer guide has a retainer lip extending partially circumferentially around the self-tailing assembly to at least partially enclose a portion of the rope guide channel. The retainer guide further defines at least one side of an opening adjacent the retainer lip, the opening being sized to conduct rope through the opening during reverse winding of the winch, the rope thereby being retained in the rope guide channel by the retainer lip.

    摘要: Methods and systems for identifying depth data associated with an object are disclosed. The method includes capturing, with an image capturing device, a plurality of source images of the object. The image capturing device has a sensor that is tilted at a known angle with respect to an object plane of the object such that the image capturing device has a depth of field associated with each source image, the depth of field defining a plane that is angled with respect to the object plane. An image processor analyzes the plurality of source images to identify segments of the source images that satisfy an image quality metric. Position data is assigned to the identified segments of the source images, the position data including depth positions based on the plane defined by the depth of field.

    摘要: A winch for a sailboat comprises a support for mounting the winch with respect to a sailboat, a winch drum rotatable with respect to the support, a manual drive socket for receiving a crank handle for manual driving of the winch and a motor for powered driving of the winch. The winch provides at least two manual forward winding gearing ratios selectable according to the direction of rotation of the manual drive socket. Motor-operated forward and reverse winding can be provided. The winch can lock against reverse winding when the crank handle is located in the drive socket. Control means are provided for controlling the motor. The control means has two selectable on-off controls only, a forwards control being exclusively for controlling on-off motor-operated forward winding of the winch drum and a reverse control being exclusively for controlling on-off motor-operated reverse winding of the winch drum.

    摘要: This invention utilizes a linear motor to impact peening media. It has three major applications: (1) deep compression low surface work peening, (2) Almen strip arc height testing and (3) manual peening. This process differs from existing processes in that impacts are controlled in position, velocity and mass. The indentor tip may have single or multiple indentors.In its deep peening/low surface work this invention competes with processes such as Roller Burnishing, Low Plasticity Burnishing and Laser Peening.The Almen strip testing application fills a void in shot peening quality control. There are examples of Almen strips whose arc height behavior differed side to side. Others have differed between lots. Recent peening production lines have been shut down by incorrect arc heights.This invention is an alternative to manual peening processes such as Flapper peening and hand held nozzle peening.
