Abstract:
A method of providing an image on a media having a image-receiving layer and a protective overlayer, comprising the steps of providing an image on the image-receiving and providing machine-readable indicia on said protective overlayer by varying the temperature of a thermal head used to apply the protective overlayer.
Abstract:
A photo album is disclosed, made from a unitary strip of image bearing media having images printed in a pre-determined sequence. A plurality of pages is formed by folding the image media strip between the images into accordion folds and adhering the folds together so that each pair of the images forms two sides of a page. The photo album may have reinforced front and rear photo album covers. A binding holds the pages together.

Abstract:
A near field solid immersion lens array, method of using, and making a near field solid immersion lens array. A cover slide is provided having a near field solid optical lens array having least one fiducial mark. The fiducial mark is used by a positioning device for locating the position of each of the lens in the array. A unique identifier may be provided for locating information of the position of each lens in the array that can be used for driving the positioning device.
Abstract:
A copy stand for supporting a camera having a built-in flash device to photograph a subject in an exposure area. The stand comprises a continuous sheet of paper board folded and coupled to itself to form a generally tubular section adapted to surround the subject in the exposure area and establish the position of the subject relative to the camera and flash. The tubular section includes a baffle, which blocks direct flash illumination of the exposure area, a first diffuse reflector, which directs flash illumination around the baffle and toward the exposure area, and a second diffuse reflector on the opposite side of the exposure area from the first reflector. The second reflector redirects illumination from the first reflector back toward the exposure area, thereby illuminating the subject area from multiple directions.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method and apparatus for aligning a lenticular image printed on a substrate with a lenticular lens sheet. The method comprises; fixing at least one set of differently colored alignment lines onto the substrate for projection through the lenticular lens sheet, positioning the lens sheet over the substrate, viewing at least one set of differently colored alignment lines as projected through the lens sheet, and adjusting the position of the lens sheet relative to the substrate according to a characteristic of the projected image.
Abstract:
A close-up attachment, including a close-up accessory lens and a corresponding finder lens, is attached to a single-use camera by means of a plug-like insert which is manually positioned in an open viewfinder tunnel of the camera.
