Abstract:
A method and system provided for a single-action with which the customer places an order and receives goods by the single action of connecting an electrical vehicle (EV) to a charging station according to the business terms associated with this invention, the affiliated organizations that purchase or support the operation of the invention participate in a business “franchise” operation whereby all affiliated organizations increase their revenues as the volume of EV charging events increases.
Abstract:
Systems and methods consistent with the present disclosure include techniques for automatically switching a non-transparent bridge enabled root port (NeRP) device from a non-transparent bridge configuration state and a root port configuration state. A NeRP agent consistent with the present consistent includes a root port agent within a computing fabric network coupled to a first multiplexer and to a second multiplexer. The root port agent includes training circuitry to initiate a root port configuration state upon detection of a root port. Furthermore, the training circuitry also initiates a device configuration state upon detection of an endpoint port. A non-transparent bridge device is coupled to the first multiplexer and second multiplexer. In addition, an input/output (I/O) connector is coupled to the root port agent during the root port configuration state and coupled to the local NTB device and root port agent during the device configuration state.

Abstract:
Machine-readable media, methods, and apparatus are described for flexibly establishing lanes of links. In some embodiments, any port of a device may be connected to another port of another device. Further, the device may determine interconnections of its ports to ports of other devices by issuing requests on its ports.
Abstract:
A module comprises an electrical device having at least one memory device. A plurality of electrical contacts provide electrical signals to the electrical device. The memory apparatus also includes an optical interface, and an optical-to-electrical signal converter is coupled to receive optical signals from the optical interface and provide electrical signals to the electrical device.
Abstract:
A programmable speaker uses characterization data stored within the memory of the speaker and digital signal processing (DSP) to digitally perform transform functions on input audio signals to compensate for speaker related distortion and listening environment distortion. In a manufacturing environment, a non-intrusive system and method for tuning the speaker is performed by applying a reference signal and a control signal to the input of the programmable speaker. A microphone detects an audible signal corresponding to the input reference signal at the output of the speaker and feeds it back to a tester which analyzes the frequency response of the speaker by comparing the input reference signal to the audible output signal from the speaker. Depending on the results of the comparison, the tester provides to the speaker an updated digital control signal with new characterization data which is then stored in the speaker memory and used to again perform transform functions on the input reference signal. The tuning feedback cycle continues until the input reference signal and the audible output signal from the speaker exhibit the desired frequency response as determined by the tester. In a consumer environment, a microphone is positioned within selected listening environments and the tuning device is again used to update the characterization data to compensate for distortion affects detected by the microphone within the selected listening environment.
Abstract:
A multiple processor circuit arrangement utilizes a master processor which controls the operational state of a slave processor by programming internal control registers on the slave processor. In addition, a stack-based processor utilizes a stack cache for accelerating stack access operations and thereby accelerating the overall performance of the processor. When the stack-based processor is utilized as a slave processor in the aforementioned master/slave multi-processor computer system the slave processor is optimized to process platform-independent program code such as Java bytecodes, thereby permitting fast and efficient execution of both program code native to the master processor as well as platform-independent program code that is in effect native to the slave processor.
Abstract:
A distributed firewall is utilized in conjunction with a memory-mapped serial communications interface such as that defined by the IEEE 1394 specification to permit secure data transmission between selected nodes over the interface. The distributed firewall incorporates security managers in the selected nodes that are respectively configured to control access to their associated nodes, thereby restricting access to such nodes to only authorized entities. The security manager in at least one of the nodes is implemented in the physical (PHY) layer for the communications interface. The security manager controls access to its associated node by selectively modifying data packets received from unauthorized entities in such a manner that acceptance of the modified data packets by the link layer is inhibited, e.g., by modifying the checksum in a data packet so that, upon receipt by the link layer of the associated node, the data packet is determined to be invalid by the link layer. As a result, the link layer may disregard the data packet so that effectively the unauthorized attempt to access the node is ignored.
Abstract:
A universal performance board for use with integrated circuit testers operates to set the power supply attribute relays or I/O loads on a performance board or load board through an integrated circuit relay control circuit. The control information for the power supply attribute relays or I/O loads is supplied from the tester to the data input of the relay control circuit at the start-up of operation for testing each new integrated circuit under test. The required control information is loaded into the relay control circuit, which then selectively operates the power supply attribute relays or I/O loads. After the relay control information has been loaded into the control circuit, the tester channels are released to be used by the tester in a normal testing function of the integrated circuit device under test. A battery back-up support is provided for memory retention in the relay control circuit; so that the control information is retained until it is subsequently changed by the supply of new control information from the tester whenever the integrated circuit device under test is changed to a different type of device.
