摘要: An analysis filter bank decomposes a microphone signal into sub-band signals, a gain unit applies a frequency-dependent gain to the sub-band signals, and a synthesis filter bank converts the amplified sub-band signals into a signal, which is then output by a receiver. A first adaptive filter of a feedback canceller provides feedback compensation signals adapted to compensate acoustic feedback from the receiver to the microphone, whereby the feedback compensation signals are subtracted from corresponding signals from the sub-band signals. A second adaptive filter of the feedback canceller estimates cross-frequency signal components resulting from aliasing of signal components from one sub-band into one or more neighboring sub-bands caused by non-ideal sub-band signal decomposition in the analysis filter bank with overlapping sub-bands. Thereby, the first adaptive filter is adapted in dependence of the estimated cross-frequency signal components.

摘要: A method of manufacturing an acoustic seal for a CIC hearing aid has the steps of: embedding sacrificial particles of 50 μm to 250 μm into a silicone rubber matrix, the concentration and size of the sacrificial particles being selected to achieve a porosity of at least 40%; molding the silicone rubber matrix using a mold and curing the silicone rubber matrix; removing the sacrificial particles from the silicone rubber matrix by leaching out the sacrificial particles in a solvent; and drying the silicone rubber matrix. The seal is to surround at least part of the hearing aid and by selection of the size and/or concentration and/or the distribution of the sacrificial particles, to provide for an acoustic attenuation of at least 20 dB in a frequency range between 200 Hz and 6 kHz, with a compliance of at least 50 mm/N when the hearing aid is inserted into the ear canal.

摘要: A method for frequency transposition in a communication device Or a hearing device, respectively, is disclosed by transforming an acoustical signal into an electrical signal (s) and by transforming the electrical signal from time domain into frequency domain to obtain a spectrum (S). A frequency transposition is being applied to the spectrum (S) in order to obtain a transposed spectrum (Snull), whereby the frequency transposition is being defined by a nonlinear frequency transposition function. Thereby, it is possible to transpose lower frequencies almost linearly, while higher frequencies are transposed more strongly. As a result thereof, harmonic relationships are not distorted in the lower frequency range, and at the same time, higher frequencies can be moved to a lower frequency range, namely to an audible frequency range of the hearing impaired person. The transposition scheme can be applied to the complete signal spectrum without the need for switching between non-transposition and transposition processing for different parts of the signal. Therefore, no artifacts due to switching are encountered. A higher transmission quality is obtained because more information is taken into account for the transmission.

摘要: A hearing device has a housing with an acoustic input aperture and an acoustic output aperture. A cover element overlays the input aperture. The material of the cover element permits passage of sound received at the input aperture though the material. Two microphones are located in the housing under the cover element. The cover element has an exterior surface that is flush with the exterior surface of the housing.

摘要: The present invention proposes a method for determining hearing device features which are useful to an individual user of a hearing device (1). According to the proposed method a received input sound signal is automatically classified according to N sound classes. An overall usage quantity is then determined for each sound class from logged usage quantities of each sound class. Useful hearing device features are then determined, which are suitable for processing an input sound signal associated with sound classes having an overall usage quantity that exceeds a minimum overall usage quantity. Subsequently, providing the determined useful hearing device features in the hearing device (1) is suggested to the fitter and/or user of the hearing device (1). In a further aspect of the present invention a hearing device (1) with a classifier (7) and a logging unit (10) adapted to log usage quantities for identified sound classes is provided.
