In this apparatus, the oxidization mechanisms are provided with an interval in a horizontal direction relative to the discharge port. Furthermore, in the apparatus, the hydraulic nozzle is installed in the bottom portion of the tower and is provided at a location between the oxidization mechanism and the discharge port.

A method of using condensed water produced in a desulfurization apparatus includes the steps of: bringing a gas to be treated, containing a sulfur dioxide and a desulfurization absorption liquid, into contact with each other to absorb and eliminate the sulfur dioxide from the gas to be treated; cooling a desulfurized gas obtained by the elimination of the sulfur dioxide to produce condensed water from the desulfurized gas; and washing the desulfurization apparatus with the condensed water. In the step of washing the desulfurization apparatus, an inlet for introducing the gas to be treated into the desulfurization apparatus may be washed with the condensed water, and a mist eliminator for eliminating the desulfurization absorption liquid accompanying the desulfurized gas from the gas may be washed with the condensed water.

A flue gas treatment system and a flue gas treatment method capable of drastically reducing operating cost and an amount of waste water and capable of controlling an amount of a NOx reducing agent and a mercury oxidation agent to be supplied are provided. The flue gas treatment system sprays an aqueous solution containing ammonium halide into a flue, reduces NOx and oxidizes mercury in a deNOx section, and removes SOx and the mercury in a desulfurization section. The flue gas treatment system adds at least one of ammonium sulfate and ammonium carbonate to waste water which is discharged from the desulfurization section and from which CaSO4 is separated to generate the ammonium halide. The waste water containing the ammonium halide is sprayed as the aqueous solution.

Heat exchange is performed between the cooled steam condensate and exhaust gas in the exhaust gas heat exchanger (5) so that the steam condensate is heated while the exhaust gas is cooled.
