    Abstract: Disclosed are: a biosensor kit in which a bionsensor utilizing a field effect transistor is not deteriorated during storage or transport; and a system for detecting a substance of interest, which is equipped with the biosensor chip. The biosensor kit comprises a biosensor chip which can measure a substance of interest quantitatively and a package which can hermetically seal the biosensor chip and is composed of a packaging material comprising a metal film. The biosensor chip can measure the substance quantitatively based on the value of a current generated in a field effect transistor when the substance is reacted with a molecule that can recognize the substance and is immobilized on a reaction field connected to the field effect transistor. The biosensor chip comprises the field effect transistor and a mounting substrate on which the field effect transistor is mounted.

    Abstract: During a period of parallel-like radio communication with two or more first base stations, the first base station designates a second base station correlated with one of the two or more first base stations, and temporarily suspends the radio communication in accordance with a first communications standard to issue, to a mobile station, a request of measurement for the designated second base station. The first base station receives a result of the measurement for the designated second base station. The first base station notifies the mobile station of a handover from the first communications standard to a second communications standard, and also notifies the mobile station of a request for starting a coordination mode in which the two or more second base stations including the designated second base station establish communication with the mobile station in coordination with each other.

    Abstract: In a semiconductor device including charge storage capacitors, each of which includes a patterned electrode having electrode side and top surfaces, a dielectric film on the side and top surfaces, and a covering electrode on the dielectric film, the patterned electrode is composed of a lower silicon layer having layer side and top surfaces and an upper silicon layer lying on the layer side and top surfaces and having the electrode side and top surfaces. The dielectric film may be in direct contact with the electrode side and top surfaces. In this event, the lower silicon layer is preferably doped to a lower concentration between 10.sup.15 and 10.sup.18 atoms per cubic centimeter and the upper silicon layer, to a higher concentration between 10.sup.18 and 10.sup.20 atoms per cubic centimeter. Alternatively, a barrier metal film may be interposed between the dielectric film and the electrode side and top surfaces. In this event, each of the lower and the upper silicon layers is preferably doped to the lower concentration. More preferably, an amorphous silicon film is preliminarily deposited on the micro-rough side and top surfaces of an underlying silicon layer to provide the upper silicon layer having smooth electrode side and top surfaces.
