摘要: An optical connector having an optical fiber inserted into a connector main body includes a buckling regulating section whose length in an optical fiber insertion direction is formed variable and which regulates a buckling of the optical fiber while becoming short in an optical fiber insertion direction when the optical fiber is inserted into the connector main body. Even if an insertion area is made long, since no buckling of the optical fiber is generated, the buckling regulating section can sufficiently increase an insertion force of the optical fiber. Thus, even when foreign substances such as dusts enter and an insertion resistance increases, the optical fiber can be securely inserted. Further, the buckling regulating section is very advantageous to realize an end surface preparation of the optical fiber making use of the insertion force of the optical fiber such as a coating removing of the optical fiber, and an end surface grinding preparation of the optical fiber.

摘要: A control system for a hydraulically-operated transmission for a vehicle is disclosed. The transmission is connected to a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine and having a plurality of friction engagement elements. A working oil temperature of the transmission, a cooling water temperature of the engine, and an operating condition of the transmission are detected. An estimated value of the working oil temperature is calculated on the basis of the detected cooling water temperature and the detected operating condition of the transmission. A weighting factor is calculated according to the detected working oil temperature. A weighted average value of the working oil temperature and the estimated working oil temperature is calculated as an actual working oil temperature by using the weighting factor. A hydraulic pressure of the working oil is controlled according to the actual working oil temperature.

摘要: A control system of a vehicle automatic transmission in which an engine load and a vehicle speed are detected and used to determine a vehicle acceleration in accordance with the preestablished characteristics. An actual vehicle acceleration is at the same time calculated in response to the detected vehicle speed. The difference therebetween is then calculated and the calculated value is added to a difference calculated earlier to obtain an average therebetween. Five gear shifting scheduling maps, for example one for moderate hill climbing, one for level-road running, one for steep hill descent, are preestablished and in response to the average obtained, one of the maps is selected. A gear shifting is controlled based on the selected map. A driver's intention to decelerate is estimated and is compared with a reference value which increases with increasing said average indicative of the grade of hill that the vehicle is descending. As a result, downshifting will not occur until the driver's deceleration intention becomes great at steep hill descending.

摘要: In a circuit for driving a plasma display panel, a blocking oscillator produces pulses varying between a positive and a negative voltage. Transistors controlled by first selection signals selectively supply first electrodes of the panel with either the complete bipolar pulses, or with only a predetermined one of the positive or negative pulse components. Further transistor switches controlled by second selection signals selectively connect and disconnect second display panel electrodes to ground. A constant voltage is applied to the disconnected second electrodes.A gas discharge occurs at each intersection of the first electrodes supplied with the full bipolar pulse wave and the grounded second electrodes. In accordance with one aspect of the present invention, production of the driving pulses may be suspended either by a preselected one of the first and second selection signals or by coincidence logic operating upon preselected first or second selection signals.

摘要: A system for controlling an automatic transmission mounted on a vehicle, including a gear system and hydraulic clutches which hold a member of the gear system stationary to produce gear reduction or reverse to transmit engine output, and a linear solenoid valve provided in the oil line which generates an oil pressure to be supplied to hydraulic clutches in response to a current supplied thereto. In the system, the current supply is initiated when the ignition switch is turned to the ON position where the engine is not started, producing a noise due to the solenoid valve operation. In order to avoid this, the current is limited to a predetermined value when the engine is not started and the vehicle is stopped. Moreover, since the predetermined value is slightly above the current at which the clutch pressure begins to rise, the automatic transmission can start its operation quickly when the engine is started.
