    Abstract: A support apparatus for a guide pin contains: an accommodation tube, an upright post, a connection shaft, a holder, two side plates, a guiding trench, a roller, a guide pin, and a driving mechanism. The accommodation tube includes a fork, a through groove, and an elongated slot. The upright post includes two first coupling segments, and the connection shaft passes through the fork and is located on the accommodation tube. The holder includes two parallel joining extensions, and the two side plates are separated from each other. The guiding trench passes through the holder, and the roller is accommodated between the two side plates and is rotatably fitted with the connection shaft, and a part of the guide pin inserts into the guiding trench. The driving mechanism is accommodated in the elongated slot and is in connection with the two first coupling segments and the two joining extensions.

    Abstract: A silicon steel sheet for a motor contains: a peripheral extension, a plurality of main teeth, multiple auxiliary teeth, a plurality of first pole shoes, and multiple second pole shoes. Each main tooth is separated from each auxiliary tooth and is defined between any two auxiliary teeth, each first pole shoe is in connection with each main tooth, and each second pole shoe is coupled with each auxiliary tooth. Said each first pole shoe, said each second pole shoe, said each main tooth, and said each auxiliary tooth define an accommodation space configured to house at least one electrical wire. Preferably, at least one electrical wire is winded on said each main tooth and said each auxiliary tooth, respectively.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a waveguide coupling device with properties of forward coupling and backward coupling as well as a manufacturing method thereof, the waveguide coupling device comprises: a substrate, at least one inverted taper coupling structure, an intermediate layer, and at least one three-dimensional taper coupling structure. Wherein one end of the three-dimensional taper coupling structure is adopted for connecting to an external optical fiber, so as to couple the optical wave propagating in the optical fiber; Moreover, by way of the specific coupling sequence of (three-dimensional taper coupling structure)-(intermediate layer)-(inverted taper coupling structure), the optical wave may be efficiently coupled into, be confined in, and ultimately propagates in the inverted taper coupling structure connecting to waveguide devices. In addition, through the manufacturing method, the waveguide coupling device with properties of forward coupling and backward coupling can be massively fabricated by the present semiconductor process with low cost.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a 3-D waveguide coupling device capable of two-step coupling and a manufacture method thereof, the 3-D waveguide coupling device comprises: a first substrate, at least one waveguide layer, at least one assisting grating, at least one coupling material layer, and at least one 3-D tapered structure layer, wherein 3-D waveguide coupling device is able to couple the light into the waveguide layer by way of two-step coupling through the 3-D tapered structure layer, the coupling material layer and the assisting grating.     Abstract: This patent disclosure is based on silicon instead of LiNbO3, waveguide chip. The disclosed silicon-based multi-function integrated-optic chip comprises of unique design and fabrication features onto it. First, a unique polarization-diversity coupler is designed and fabricated to couple the external light into the silicon waveguide structure. Then TE mode is guided into a silicon slab waveguide, but TM mode is confined and diverted 90 degree in a silicon carbide structure till the chip edges for TM-mode suppression. Second, a unique two-step (vertical and lateral) taper waveguide region is designed and fabricated to bridge the polarization-diversity coupler output with the input of a multi-mode interferometer (MMI) splitter for power loss reduction. In this configuration, MMI may be a 1×2 or 2×2 structure to divide the input TE mode into a 50/50 splitting ratio output to form a Y-junction. Third, at either end of the Y-junction output, there is a phase modulator to achieve optical phase modulation through various physics mechanisms such as plasma dispersion, electro-optics, thermo-optics, or photo-elastic effect. With this newly-developed silicon-based multi-function integrated optic chip, the size and cost of fiber sensors including FOG's can be greatly reduced.

    Abstract: A chassis includes a cover unit, a base unit which includes a bottom panel and a cover panel fixed to the bottom panel, a through hole defined in the cover panel, and a latch mechanism assembly. The latch mechanism assembly includes a hook protruding from the cover unit, an operating apparatus mounted to the bottom panel, a supporting member mounted to the bottom panel, a latch member resiliently mounted to the supporting member, and a connecting pole connecting the latch member to the operating apparatus. The hook is capable of extending through the through hole of the cover panel. The latch member includes a latch portion capable of securing the hook. The latch member is capable of engaging the hook when the hook is located within the through hole, and the operating apparatus is capable of retracting the connecting pole and thus causing the latch member to disengage the hook.
