摘要: The invention describes catheter systems and methods for accessing the brain during endovascular/neurointervention procedures in the treatment of ischemic stroke. More specifically, a multi-axial catheter system and kit is described that improves the process of accessing a carotid artery particularly in patients having a tortuous aortic arch and thereafter improves the process of gaining access to the brain to enable the insertion of aspiration and/or the deployment clot retrieval devices. In addition, methods of utilizing these systems are described.

摘要: The invention relates to the treatment of aneurysms, and more particularly to intravascular devices and methods for the occlusion of an aneurysm. The device includes a first portion having an expandable and compressible mesh having dimensions for insertion into and expansion against the wall of an aneurysm and a second disk portion having a flexible, collapsible mesh operatively connected to an outer surface of the first portion and having dimensions for covering an outside of the neck opening. The combination of the first portion and second disk portion have a combined resilient flexibility to effectively bias the second disk portion against the neck opening in a substantially flat manner when the first portion is engaged within the aneurysm.

摘要: The invention generally relates to co-axial stent and catheter systems and medical procedures utilizing these systems. The co-axial stent system is characterized by two-coaxial stents, including an outer resorbable stent and an inner metal stent used to effect deployment of the resorbable stent. The stents may use for treatment of unstable plaque and/or thrombus at the carotid bifurcation and particularly those that are not causing any significant stenosis. The stents may also be used for treatment of cerebral aneurysms.
