In one embodiment, the surface of recycled rubber is devulcanized by treating recycled rubber with a thiol and a base dissolved in a solvent that does not effectively penetrate and only minimally swells vulcanized rubbers.

The present invention is generally directed to a new class of TPEs made from peptide terminated low Tg polymers and methods for making them. The middle block of these TPE is a telechelic polymer with a Tg that is below the intended service temperature of the TPE. The terminal peptide segments of these TPEs are short (from about 1 to about 10 amino acids long) and tend to from sheet type secondary structures through intermolecular hydrogen bonds, creating physical crosslinks between polymer chains. The dissimilarity of the peptide hard component and the elastomeric soft component results in very strong segregation between the microphase domains and a low plastic deformation for the resulting TPE. And since the Tm of the crystalline peptide phase can be adjusted, these new TPEs may be tailored to fit the intended service temperature and are melt-processable.

In the hydrogenation method using the fluidized bed reactor (7), an expanded bed reactor (3) is used to further hydrogenate part of the product from the fluidized bed reactor (7), and supply catalyst without influencing on the stable operation of the fluidized bed reactor (7).

One of the at least one layer of touch electrodes forms a display layer with the pixel electrode and the electrophoretic medium. A driving circuit configured to detect the location of a user touch on the composite transparent electrodes layer and drive the electrophoretic medium layer for displaying content. With the use of the composite transparent electrodes layer, the light propagation efficiency can be effectively improved, and the manufacturing technology is simplified.

The EL display further comprises a plurality of opposing electrodes arranged on the electroluminescent layer. Preferred photoresist compositions of the invention comprise one or more materials having a water contact angle that can be changed by treatment with base and/or one or more materials that comprise fluorinated photoacid-labile groups and/or one or more materials that comprise acidic groups spaced from a polymer backbone. Particularly preferred photoresists of the invention can exhibit reduced leaching of resist materials into an immersion fluid contacting the resist layer during immersion lithography processing.
