摘要: Method and apparatus for automatically recognizing tab position requires no manual setting of the tab position. One or a plurality of tab positions are automatically recognized based on a tab information of an immediately preceding line, a tab information of a nearest preceding line which has the tab information, or tab information of all preceding lines which have the tab information. A cursor is moved to a tab position which is in alignment with a tab position of the immediately preceding line, the nearest preceding line, or one of the preceding lines by simply manipulating a tab key.

摘要: In a manifold apparatus having a plurality of functions including a printer function, facsimile function and copier function, facsimile data from a host computer are transferred to a system controller via a printer controller. Information on the destinations for facsimile communication are registered at an image memory. The system controller searches the image memory on the basis of destination data contained in the facsimile data, thereby determining whether the destination has a G3 function or a G4 function. If the destination has a G3 function, the system controller transforms the facsimile data to image data and transmits the image data via a facsimile controller. If a G4 function is available at the destination, the system controller transmits the facsimile data, or code data, without transforming them.

摘要: A display unit includes a conductive portion 1. When it is assumed that there is an imaginary straight line m1, which extends in a direction perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of a dipole antenna 2, passes through a center of the dipole antenna 2 and is parallel to an antenna surface of the dipole antenna 2, the dipole antenna 2 is disposed on a lateral side of the display unit so that the imaginary straight line m1 is parallel to a display screen, is parallel to an upper side 1a or a lower side 1b of a main surface of the conductive portion and passes a lateral portion of the conductive portion 1. When the dipole antenna has a length LA in the longitudinal direction thereof, when the conductive portion has a thickness T, and when a radio wave for communication with the external device has a wavelength λ0 in the air, the formula of λ0≧LA≧T is established, a one side of the conductive portion has a greater length than the wavelength λ0, and a shortest distance d between each of peripheral portions of radiating conductors 2a and 2b and a peripheral portion of the conductive portion ranges from (LA/10) to 6LA.
