A hybrid vehicle includes an input device that is used by a user to request an increase in the amount of charge of the power storage device. When a request for increasing the amount of charge is made using the input device, a control device controls charging of a power storage device by a generating device so that charging of the power storage device is promoted, warms a catalyst device by operating an internal combustion engine while limiting the output of the internal combustion engine, and when the warming of the catalyst device and the request for increasing the amount of charge that is made using the input device overlap each other, the control device eases the output limitation of the internal combustion engine.

In a service providing system, a client includes a transmitting unit configured to transmit specification information associated with specifications of the client to the management server, a receiving unit configured to receive registration completion information from a management server, a transmitting unit configured to transmit a request for service information to a service providing server, and a service prohibition unit configured to prevent receipt of the service information from the service providing server until the registration completion information is received after transmission of the specification information. The management server includes a receiving unit configured to receive the specification information, an information registration unit configured to register the received specification information while associating the specification information with the client, and a transmitting unit configured to transmit the registration completion information indicating completion of registration of the specification information to the client. The service providing server includes a receiving unit configured to receive the request for service information from the client, and an information generation unit configured to generate the service information based on the specification information, in response to receipt of the request for service information.

A control apparatus for a hybrid vehicle includes an engine for traveling, a motor for traveling, and a battery exchanging electric power with the motor. the control apparatus including: a heater is configured to perform heating inside a cabin of the hybrid vehicle by using the engine or an electric heat source as a heat source; and a controller is configured to operate the engine intermittently, the controller is configured to select the heat source for the heater, the controller is configured to determine whether or not a fuel for the engine is degraded when the engine is stopped, and the controller is configured to start the engine and select the engine as the heat source when the controller determines that the fuel is degraded.

A service registration system includes a server that provides a service through a network, a peripheral device capable of communicating with the server and using the service, and a terminal device capable of communicating with the server and the peripheral device. When the terminal device receives the registration requesting information representing information related to registration necessary for using the service from a user, the terminal device transmits registration requesting information to the server. When the server receives the registration requesting information from the terminal device, the server transmits service information necessary for using the service. Further, the terminal device can transmit the service information to the peripheral device when it receives the service information from the server. Further, when the peripheral device receives the service information from the terminal device, the peripheral device stores the received service information and operates in a mode where the service is usable.

The communication unit communicates with a contents server having contents data. The expendable amount deriving unit derives an amount of an expendable item required for imaging the contents data in the printer. The expendable amount deriving unit derives the amount of the expendable item in accordance with a size of an image printed by the printer. A network system includes a directory server configured to provide service definition information through a network, and a terminal device configured to receive the service definition information. The directory server may include a server communication unit, a service definition information storing unit configured to store main information and auxiliary information as part of service definition information, and a service definition information transmission control unit that retrieves the service definition information from the service definition information storing unit and transmit the same to the terminal device. The terminal device may include a terminal communication unit, an outputting unit, an input receiving unit and an output control unit. A facsimile machine including an electronic mail receiving device, a condition data setting portion sets various condition data related to output of electronic mail (e-mail) message and stores the set condition data into an EEPROM. The condition data is used when an output method and an output timing of the e-mail message are specified based on contents of the e-mail message. The condition data can be set by a user using an operation inputting portion to meet user's needs. Next, an output condition determining portion compares the e-mail message received at a mail receiving portion, with the set condition data, to specify an output method according to the condition data.
