Abstract:
According to an aspect of the present disclosure, if an image forming apparatus receives a FAX data, the image forming apparatus posts a message to a chat service indicating that the FAX data has been received, and according to a setting of a forwarding destination of FAX data and scheduled forwarding time, the image forming apparatus posts a message indicating the scheduled forwarding time of the received FAX data. If the image forming apparatus receives an instruction related to forwarding the received FAX data (canceling, changing scheduled time, changing forwarding destination) via the chat service, the image forming apparatus performs processing related to the forwarding the received FAX data (canceling to forward processing, changing scheduled time processing, changing forwarding destination processing) based on the instruction.
Abstract:
A facsimile machine (F) that is capable of performing a confidential transmission, broadcast transmission, etc. by batch transmission. If a user of the facsimile machine wants to send a plurality of image data to a recipient, for instance, confidentially and simultaneously at a specified time, the image data is accumulated in a memory box (5a) for confidential batch transmission. The image data is then sent to the recipient by batch transmission. The facsimile machine (F) determines whether image data is for batch transmission or real time transmission. If the image data is for real time transmission, it is not stored in the memory box (5a).
Abstract:
A system and method for facilitating facsimile transmissions has one or more store and forward facilities, each associated with a plurality of subscriber facsimile machines, typically coupled over the switched telephone network. The store and forward facilities include a computer for controlling operations and mass data storage equipment. A subscriber to the system delivers an outgoing facsimile message to the store and forward facility with which it is associated, which records the fax message together with data as to originating facsimile machine and destination facsimile machine. The store and forward facility then delivers the facsimile message to the intended receiver facsimile machine, either directly or through another store and forward facility. If unsuccessful on an initial attempt, the store and forward facility periodically retrys to send the facsimile message. The system also provides spooling of all facsimile messages for an intended receiver machine, which are all transmitted upon making connection with the receiver machine. Subscriber mailboxes are provided as part of the mass storage, which can be accessed by a subscriber to have his messages delivered to any facsimile machine he designates. Secure facsimile transmission is achieved through use of subscriber PIN numbers. Broadcasting, redirecting messages and cost accounting can also be achieved by the system and method.
Abstract:
To reduce the period of time required after a remote printer is instructed to start a print job and before it starts printing and hence reduce the period of time for which the remote printer is occupied, thereby enhancing working efficiency, it is determined whether originals are located on an original table or on a sheet feeder, and if the originals are located on the original table, it is determined whether the job is in an original table accumulation mode in which a local apparatus completes reading images from a plurality of originals before transmitting the images. If the job is not in the original table accumulation mode, the remote apparatus is instructed to start the job before images are read from the originals. On the other hand, if the job is in the original table accumulation mode, the remote apparatus is instructed to start the job after the images have been read from all the originals.
Abstract:
An image communication apparatus includes a plurality of communication units each for performing communication. A first control device serves to generate and control communication jobs of executing communications of image information by the respective communication units, and serves to generate and control a sequence of the communication jobs in accordance with types of the communication units. A second control device serves to perform processes by which the communication units independently start and end the communication jobs generated by the first control device.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus including a fax function and a communication function includes at least one memory storing instructions, and at least one processor executing the instructions causing the image forming apparatus to set a first setting for transfer of data in a case where the data is received using the fax function, perform a transfer process of transferring the data received using the fax function based on the first setting, and transmit, using the communication function, information pertaining to the transfer process to an external apparatus that provides a message sharing service.
Abstract:
There is provided a server for providing contents, which is provided with a registration unit that stores first destination information representing a destination of offering of contents in a memory, as a regular destination of contents, if the registration unit receives a command for registration accompanied by the first destination information, a content providing unit that provides contents to a client device corresponding the regular destination stored in the memory, and a switched content providing unit that operates to stop offering of contents by the content providing unit for a predetermined time period if the switched content providing unit receives a command for switching accompanied by second destination information representing a destination of offering of contents, to provide contents to a client device corresponding to the second destination information, to stop offering of contents to the client device corresponding to the second destination information if the predetermined time period has elapsed, and to restart the offering of contents by the content providing unit.
Abstract:
An object of the invention is to provide a A facsimile apparatus can properly classify image information of a plurality of communications on the reception side in a mail post communication. In the case where the mail post communication is selected by a transmitter, when the receiver has a function to classify by a sorter every communication, information indicative of the presence of a plurality of communications and information of transmitter and receiver are added as information of the first page and the resultant information is transmitted. Therefore, the operator on the receiver side can properly distribute the information of the mail post communication to the designated partner side.
Abstract:
A user interface simplifies operation of a intelligent facsimile machine (IFAX). A display screen displays a plurality of menus and allows the user to select from the menus. The IFAX can store a plurality of digital cover pages to minimize transmission time for a facsimile cover page. The user may select from a list of stored digital cover pages. The user may also attach a binary data file to a facsimile message and transfer the data to another facsimile machine. The IFAX uses a storage location for storing outgoing facsimile messages. The IFAX periodically check the storage location to determine if more than one facsimile message is to be transmitted to the same location and transmits the facsimile messages in one facsimile telephone call. If the IFAX is coupled to a second IFAX on a network, the two IFAX machines can balance the work load by sending a load transfer request if the number of outgoing facsimile messages exceeds a predetermined threshold level. The IFAX can also route incoming facsimile messages to a variety of destinations such as a floppy disk or other storage device, or an external computer. The IFAX can also relay incoming facsimile messages to another facsimile machine, using a set or relay instructions. The relay instructions may be stored in the IFAX or may be a portion of the incoming facsimile message. The relay instructions may be nested, and the IFAX sends the facsimile message to a second IFAX with instructions for the second IFAX to relay the facsimile message to a third facsimile machine. The IFAX contains security measures to prevent unauthorized relaying.
