摘要: An HGF precursor protein variant, in which a peptide structure comprises a sequence including a peptide chain X inserted between an α chain of HGF or a polypeptide where 1 to 20 amino-acid residues from the C-terminus of the α chain are deleted, and a β chain of HGF or a polypeptide where 1 to 20 amino-acid residues from the N-terminus of the β chain are deleted; wherein (i) the peptide chain X has an amino-acid sequence of at least two residues, (ii) the peptide chain X can be cleaved by a protease reaction or a chemical reaction, and (iii) a protein obtained by cleaving at least one site of the peptide chain X has HGF action.

The segment of glycosylation-deficient HGF of the present invention has the same activity as that of a segment of glycosylated HGF, therefore, it is useful as an alternate for a segment of glycosylated HGF.

摘要: An air conditioner comprises: a refrigerating cycle including a compressor and an evaporator; a heater core for heating the air that has passed through the evaporator; a first sensor for acquiring information related to a temperature of the evaporator; a second sensor for acquiring information related to a temperature of a medium to supply heat to the heater core; and a compressor control unit for controlling the compressor. When the temperature of the evaporator is not higher than a predetermined threshold temperature, the compressor control unit reduces a ratio of compression of the refrigerant by the compressor. When the temperature of the medium is not more than a first predetermined value, the compressor control unit sets the threshold temperature at a value higher than a frost limit temperature of the evaporator.

摘要: The present invention aims to provide an agent for promoting HGF production comprising, as an effective ingredient, a disaccharide comprised of an uronic acid residue (wherein an uronic acid means an iduronic acid or a glucuronic acid, and has the same meaning hereinafter) and a glucosamine residue that are connected by α1,4-glycosidic linkage or β1,4-glycosidic linkage, or an oligosaccharide of tri- to hexadeca-saccharides having a structure in which uronic acid residues and glucosamine residues are alternately and repeatedly connected by α1,4-glycosidic linkage or β1,4-glycosidic linkage, wherein at least one hydroxy group of the uronic acid residues and/or the glucosamine residues may be sulfated, alkylated, acylated or aminated, and/or the amino group at position 2 of at least one of the glucosamine residue(s) may be sulfated, alkylated or acylated, or a salt thereof. The agent of the present invention for promoting HGF production is useful to promote healing of damaged tissues or organs of a living body.

摘要: S-phenyl-L-cysteine can be produced in a high yield by reacting thiophenol and L-serine under the action of tryptophan synthase at a pH in a range of from 9.0 to 10.5. Purification of S-phenyl-L-cysteine obtained by this enzyme reaction can be effectively achieved by adjusting the pH of a crystal-containing reaction mixture to a strongly acidic level of 1.5 or lower to dissolve crystals of S-phenyl-L-cysteine, adding activated carbon to the pH-adjusted mixture, maintaining the resultant mixture at a temperature of from 20.degree. to 60.degree. C. under aeration with an oxygen-containing gas, subjecting the thus-obtained mixture to filtration, raising the pH of the resulting filtrate back to a range of from 2.5 to 6.0 to precipitate crystals of S-phenyl-L-cysteine and then recovering the thus-precipitated crystals.
