摘要： A bicycle shift operating device is provided with a mounting part, a first operating member and a first signal generator. The first operating member is movable from a first operation start position such that the first operating member returns to the first operation start position upon completion of a shifting operation. The first signal generator generates a signal for changing a shift position of the bicycle shift operating device by one shift position in a first direction from a current shift position in response to the first operating member being moved from the first operation start position to a first position. The first signal generator generates a signal for changing the shift position by two shift positions from the current shift position in response to the first operating member being moved from the first operation start position to a second position located beyond the first position.

The base member includes a handlebar mounting portion and a brake lever mounting portion. The handlebar mounting portion is configured to be fixedly mounted to a free end of a handlebar. The brake lever is pivotally disposed on the brake lever mounting portion about a brake pivot axis. The brake lever includes an elongated brake operating portion extending from the brake pivot axis and a proximal portion adjacent to the brake pivot axis. The shift operating member is disposed on the proximal portion of the brake lever to move therewith.

The shift control device includes a handlebar mounting portion configured to be clamped onto a handlebar and an electrical shift control switch portion. The electrical switch portion has an operating member arranged to move relative to the handlebar mounting portion between a neutral position and an actuating position. Preferably, the electrical switch portion is detachably coupled to the handlebar mounting portion via a mating mounting structure to be removable from the handlebar mounting portion without removing the handlebar mounting portion from the handlebar. Preferably, a bicycle computer unit including a display screen is supported by the handlebar mounting portion. The operating member can include a dial-shaped element or a lever-shaped element that is configured to rotate about an operating axis.

The front derailleur contact part selectively contacts a side surface of the front derailleur on the side facing the seat tube in a position that is different from that of the front derailleur mounting part.
