Abstract:
The invention includes a system and method for communicating information about attributes of a food. Common attributes of a food include its nutritional content (e.g. its protein content, salt content, vitamin B12 content, etc.), but there are many others. Communication of information to a human may occur when the human sees a facial glyph, the facial glyph representing information about the food's attributes. The specification teaches embodiments of the invention that map food attribute information (and possibly other information) into attributes of the face shown in the facial glyph, e.g. the appearance of the nose in the facial glyph may communicate salt content of a food via a longer nose for higher salt content, and a smaller nose for lower salt content. Embodiments of the invention vary the mapping of food attributes to facial attributes to improve information communication. Accessory visual elements may enhance the information communicated.
Abstract:
A computer-implemented method, computer program product, and computing system for obtaining a simulation modeling file. One or more values is associated with one or more variables included within the simulation modeling file. The simulation modeling file is executed to generate at least one result set. The at least one result set is iteratively rendered while the at least one result set is generated.

Treatments for estrogen receptor and progesterone receptor negative breast cancer or estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor and c-erbB2 negative (triple negative) breast cancer are provided.
Abstract:
A process for manufacturing detergent particles comprising the steps of: a) forming a liquid surfactant blend comprising a major amount of surfactant and a minor amount of water, the surfactant part consisting of at least 51 wt % linear alkylbenzene sulfonate and at least one co-surfactant, the surfactant blend consisting of at most 20 wt % nonionic surfactant; b) drying the liquid surfactant blend of step (a) in an evaporator or drier to a moisture content of at most 2 wt % and cooling the output from the evaporator or dryer; c) feeding the cooled material, which output comprises at least 93 wt % surfactant blend with a major part of LAS, to an extruder, optionally along with less than 10 wt % of other materials such as perfume, fluorescer, and extruding the surfactant blend to form an extrudate while periodically cutting the extrudate to form hard detergent particles with a diameter across the extruder of greater than 2 mm and a thickness along the axis of the extruder of greater than 0.2 mm, provided that the diameter is greater than the thickness; d) optionally, coating the extruded hard detergent particles with up to 30 wt % coating material selected from powdered inorganic material and mixtures of such material and nonionic material with a melting point in the range 40 to 90° C.
Abstract:
Described are four, novel supercritical fluid extracts of Nigella sativa seeds containing about 0.01 to about 40% (w/w) thymoquinone that can be produced using commercial-scale quantities of N. sativa seeds. These formulations provide antioxidant, thermogenic, anti-inflammatory and other biological activities qualitatively and quantitatively distinct from thymoquinone alone and are useful as dietary supplements or therapeutics for inflammation-related disorders.
Abstract:
A computer-implemented method, computer program product, and computing system for defining at least a portion within a simulation modeling file for copying from an original location, thus defining an identified portion. A destination location is defined for the identified portion. A multi-threaded copying procedure is effectuated to copy the identified portion from the original location to the destination location, thus generating a copied portion of the simulation modeling file. The multi-threaded copying procedure utilizes at least two processing threads.
Abstract:
A body protection assembly is disclosed for protecting a human body from injury due to an impact. An internal planar structure (102) defines the shape of the apparatus and an outer layer of a flexible sheet material (105) has a shape defined by the internal planar structure. The internal planar structure is constructed from a plurality of cells such that, in response to an impact, the cells at the position of an impact region deform to absorb kinetic energy. Furthermore, the outer layer of flexible sheet material extends the size of the impact region so as to increase the number of cells that absorb this kinetic energy.
Abstract:
An optical fiber is permanently routed easily, quickly, and unobtrusively at a customer premises using an inventive hand tool, without staples or other fasteners. The fiber has an adhesive outer coating that is activated as the fiber is applied by the tool on an exposed surface such as a wall, ceiling, molding, groove, or corner at the premises. When the activated coating hardens, the fiber is bonded to the surface on which it was applied, and the hardened coating also provides physical protection for the fiber. In the disclosed embodiment, the coated fiber is supplied on a spool that mounts on the tool, and the coating is activated by guiding the fiber as it unwinds from the spool through a chamber containing an activating substance. The fiber with the activated coating is then guided to an applicator wheel on the tool which applies the fiber to the surface.
Abstract:
A system and method are provided that enable a registrar or other server or proxy device to be used to provide a path between a pair of endpoint devices for exchanging addressing information, in order to establish a direct P2P connection. Once that connection is established, the connection may be used for any P2P data communications, e.g. SIP establishment of a VoIP call, instant messaging, online gaming, file transfer, multimedia streaming, etc. In this way, each endpoint device possesses a list of candidate addresses to establish a direct P2P connection, which may then be used for any type of communication. By relying on a registrar or other server to enable the candidate lists to be exchanged, control can still be maintained if necessary, since the candidate lists can be modified, e.g. to enable a transparent interception, to impose or remove security restrictions, etc.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided for real-time communication (e.g., fax, voice, video) via an IP Network even if a firewall or other restriction element is present or encountered. The real-time nature of the communication is ensured by preestablishing a communication session between a transfer client and a transfer server, between which the firewall or other restriction element is located. Following the preestablishment of the communication session, transmission control messages are exchanged between the transfer server and the transfer client via the preestablished communication session. The preestablished communication session prevents the firewall or other restriction element from blocking or delaying traffic (e.g., fax, voice, video traffic). The preestablished communication session establishes a full duplex communication link without restriction of or by the firewall or other communication restriction element. Accordingly, the firewall or restriction element considers traffic originating from outside of the portion of the IP network where the firewall is located to be in response to a request from the inside the IP Network. Thus, the firewall or restriction element will not act to block or delay the traffic from entry.
