摘要： Clear and opaque polymeric film structures for providing clear and opaque labels that are removable, respectively. The film structure includes a core layer and first skin layer, wherein the first skin layer contains a polymeric matrix of a material that allows a label, which has been produced from the film structure and applied onto a container or product, to be removed from the container or product by the solution employed in a process for re-using the container. The first skin layer is co-extruded along with the remainder of the layers of the film structure, or the first skin layer is deposited on the film structure as an emulsion or extrusion coating. The first skin layer can be contacted with a water-based adhesive to affix the label onto a particular product or product container. Labels produced from the film structure exhibit a desirable combination of excellent initial adhesion strength, moisture resistance and delaminatability, as well as excellent removability.

摘要： A method and apparatus for continuously applying labels to containers, and a container including a label on a surface thereof which has been applied thereto by the method and/or apparatus. An activating solution is sprayed by a sprayer onto a label pallet or directly onto a surface of a label containing an activatable coating or layer thereon. The activating solution activates the activatable coating or layer. The label is adhered to a container by placing the activated coating or layer of the label in contact with a surface of the container. The sprayer may deliver the activating solution to a surface of a label pallet or label with an even wet-out.

摘要： A cavitated opaque polymer film, including (i) a beta-cavitated core layer containing a propylene polymer and an impact copolymer and (ii) a matte surface layer with sufficient roughness to serve as a mold-ready skin layer. The core layer may optionally contain a beta cavitating agent. Cavitated opaque labels including: a cavitated core layer; a support layer on one side of the core layer, the support layer containing a thermoplastic polymer; and a matte layer on the side of the core layer opposite the support layer. The core layer contains a propylene polymer, a beta nucleating agent, and an impact copolymer; the matte layer contains at least one of a matte-resin and a matte-surface producing agent. The matte surface outer layer may provide sufficient roughness to provide labels that are mold-ready for IML applications, without need for an adhesive pattern or coating.
