Abstract: A linear cutting stapler includes an upper jaw and a lower jaw capable of closing or opening relative to each other. A staple cartridge is disposed at a distal end of the lower jaw. The lower jaw is U-shaped, and has a staple driving rod and a blade driving rod slidably disposed therein. The linear cutting stapler further includes a safety mechanism which includes an engagement member. A notch fitting the engagement member is disposed on a bottom surface of the staple driving rod. The safety mechanism further includes a floating block which is displaceable in the lower jaw in an up-down direction perpendicular to the length direction of the lower jaw. When the floating block is pressed against the staple cartridge or an anvil, a top end of the engagement member is driven to displace in the up-down direction, thus the engagement member is separated from the notch.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for controlling stray radiation within a CVD chamber. A heater array disposed beneath a wafer carrier for radiatively heating of the wafer carrier includes a peripheral or outermost heating element or elements. Scattered radiation originating from a designated segment of the peripheral heating element(s) can be reduced locally by one of several mechanisms, including reducing the emission (e.g., operating temperature) of the designated segment, or capturing or deflecting a portion of the radiation originating from the designated segment. In one embodiment, an electrical connector on a resistance heating element provides the reduced emission from the designated segment. It has been found that radiation thermometers fixed proximate an axis that extends from the center of the wafer carrier and across the designated segment is subject to less stray radiation, thus providing a more reliable temperature reading in the optical wavelengths.

Abstract: A digital flexography system includes an imaging member with a charge generating layer formed from an array of addressable pixels and a charge transport layer thereon. Ink is delivered to the imaging member using a simple rough donor roll, rather than an anilox roll. Instead of controlling the amount of ink delivered using the anilox roll, the amount of ink is controlled by the pixels on the imaging member.

Abstract: An embodiment is a method and apparatus to meter ink for electrographic printing. An ink loading mechanism having an anilox roller fills ink from an ink supply into cells in the anilox roller having a plurality of valleys and lands that form the cells. The ink loading mechanism causes the valleys to be full or nearly full with the ink. The anilox roller rotates in a first direction. A blanket roller rotationally engaged with the anilox roller pulls the ink out of the cells and causes the valleys to be partially filled. The blanket roller rotates in a second direction. A first cleaning blade cleans tops of the lands of the cells.Another embodiment is a method and apparatus to meter ink for electrographic printing. An ink loading mechanism having an anilox roller fills ink from an ink supply into cells in the anilox roller having a plurality of valleys and lands forming the cells. The ink loading mechanism causes the valleys to be full or nearly full with the ink. The anilox roller rotates in a first direction. A soft blade positioned slightly below surface of the lands removes ink from the cells and causes the valleys the partially filled as the anilox roller rotates. A hard blade positioned at the surface of the lands to clean residue of ink on the surface of the lands as the anilox roller rotates.

Abstract: Installer package information is presented to a user in response to an attempted installation of an application on an endpoint. The attempted installation is detected and the installer package is identified to an information server. The installer package may be identified using a hash key or other unique identifier. In response, the information server provides to the endpoint information associated with the identified installer package based on information received from a plurality of other endpoints. The endpoint may also provide installation and application information related to the installer package to the information server. In one embodiment, when the information server obtains more than the threshold amount of information for an installer package, the information server may analyze the information and provide the analysis to requesting endpoints. The analysis may include the risk or performance impact of the installer package, or the category or functionality of the application.
