    Abstract: Provided are a high-speed Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) apparatus and a method thereof. The high-speed DFT apparatus includes a zero padding unit, a Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) unit, and a preamble index decision unit. The zero padding unit receives a first input signal having a length of a prime number and changes the first input signal into a second input signal having a length of an exponentiation of 2. The FFT unit performs a FFT on the second input signal outputted from the zero padding unit. The preamble index decision unit detects a preamble index from an output signal from the FFT unit.

    Abstract: Provided is a base station. The base station includes a transceiver, a frequency allocation unit, and an orthogonal code allocation unit. The transceiver communicates with a terminal. The frequency allocation unit allocates a frequency resource to the terminal through the transceiver. The orthogonal code allocation unit generates an orthogonal code index table including a plurality of orthogonal code combinations, and allocates one of the orthogonal code combinations included in the orthogonal code index table to each terminal, to which the frequency resource has been allocated for a service request of the terminal, through the transceiver not to multiply be allocated. At least one of a plurality of orthogonal codes included in the orthogonal code combination is orthogonal to at least one of a plurality of orthogonal codes included in an orthogonal code combination allocated to another terminal.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical vaccine composition for a human cervical cancer, comprising: (a) (i) a L1 virus-like particle (VLP) of human papillomavirus (HPV) type 16, a L1 VLP of HPV type 18, or a combination thereof; and (ii) a deacylated non-toxic lipooligosaccharide (LOS); and (b) a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier; and a method for preparing a human papillomavirus (HPV) L1 virus-like particle (VLP). The pharmaceutical vaccine composition of the present invention is in both Th1-type immune response (cellular immunity) and Th2-type immune response (humoral immunity) against HPV more excellent than Cervrix™ and Gardasil™, exhibiting a superior efficacy as a vaccine for a human cervical cancer.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method for transmitting/receiving data in a closed-loop multi-antenna system. A receiver receives a plurality of data streams from a plurality of transmit antennas of a transmitter, generates Channel Quality Information (CQIs) of channels that carry data streams transmitted from at least two transmit antenna allocated to the receiver among the plurality of transmit antennas, and transmits the CQIs to the transmitter. For the CQI generation, the receiver generates a channel matrix through channel estimation of the received data streams, generates a reception beamforming matrix from the channel matrix including only components of the data streams transmitted from the allocated transmit antennas, and calculates the CQIs using the channel matrix, the reception beamforming matrix, and a total signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) obtained through the channel estimation.

    Abstract: A method for transmitting and receiving data in a multiuser Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) system including a base station connected to a plurality of user equipments. In the method, each of the user equipments separately calculates channel capacity information using a linear reception scheme and a nonlinear reception scheme, and feeds back the calculated channel capacity information to the base station. The base station separately calculates system capacities using at least two different antenna scheduling schemes based on the channel capacity information fed back from the user equipments, and allocates antennas to the user equipments using a selected antenna scheduling scheme having higher system capacity out of the two antenna scheduling schemes.
