Abstract:
This invention is a method for improving production yield of HPV L1 protein including the phase of culturing cell expressing HPV L1 protein in a medium containing high concentration of carbon source. According to the culture method using a medium containing highly concentrated carbon source of this invention, the production yield of HPV L1 protein can be not only remarkably increased but also the immunogenicity of the produced HPV L1 protein is significantly increased.
Abstract:
Embodiments of a user interface in an ultrasound system are disclosed. In one embodiment, the ultrasound system comprises a display unit for prompting a user to touch a desired one of hierarchically arranged soft buttons for triggering an execution of the function of the ultrasound system associated with the touched button. The display unit includes a display having a display with touch panel mounted. The display unit is configured to display a touch screen menu together with the ultrasound image on the display.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound of formula (1), (2) or (3) as defined in the specification for the prevention or treatment of diseases associated with oxidative stress, mitochondria dysfunction, hypoxic injury, necrosis and/or ischemic reperfusion injury, and a cosmetic composition comprising an indole compound having an antioxidant effect.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an ultrasound system. The ultrasound system comprises: a probe for transmitting an ultrasound beam along a plurality of scan lines in a target object and output receive signals based on ultrasound echoes reflected from the target object; a beam forming unit for applying delays to the receive signals and sum the delayed receive signals to thereby form scan line signals corresponding to the respective scan lines; a multiprocessing unit including a plurality of processors, each being configured to individually process a part of the scan line signals to output sub-image signals, the multiprocessing unit being configured to synthesize the sub-image signals to output ultrasound image signals corresponding to one image frame; and an image processing unit for performing an image processing upon the ultrasound image signals for display.
Abstract:
There is provided an ultrasound system, which includes an ultrasound diagnostic unit for transmitting ultrasound signals to a target object in a periodic motion and forming ultrasound images based on receive signals reflected from the target object, the ultrasound diagnostic unit further being configured to provide reception times of the receive signals corresponding to the ultrasound images; a first storage unit for storing the ultrasound images provided from the ultrasound diagnostic unit together with the reception times of the receive signals; a cycle setting unit for setting a cycle of motion of the target object; a processor for selecting the ultrasound images within a specific cycle among the ultrasound images stored in the first storage unit based on the reception times of the receive signals corresponding to the ultrasound images and start and end times of the specific cycle provided from the cycle setting unit, the processor further being configured to form an equal number of ultrasound images within each cycle based on the number of the selected ultrasound images; and a display unit for simultaneously displaying the ultrasound images within each cycle.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for providing a traffic information service to a vehicle. Traffic information is broadcast through an external network to the vehicle, wherein the traffic information is based on a first map. Data within the broadcasted traffic information and based on a the first map is compared to a second map provided in a vehicle navigation unit, wherein the second map is different than the first map. A traffic information service is provided to the vehicle navigation unit, wherein the vehicle navigation unit is configured for displaying the traffic information with the second map.
Abstract:
A structure for a stator of a reciprocating motor is capable of heightening an efficiency and a reliability of a motor by maximizing the area of a magnetic path at which a flux flows without increasing the whole volume of a reciprocating motor so that the flux, which is to be increased as an overload works on the motor, flows smoothly to thereby restrain generation of a core saturation. The stator structure includes a stator having a hollow cylindrical outer core and an inner core inserted into the outer core and formed as a plurality of mutually coupled hollow cylindrical stacked bodies and a winding coil connected into the outer core and an armature having a permanent magnet attached at one side thereof and movably inserted between the outer core and the inner core.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to indole or indazole compounds, pharmaceutically acceptable salts or isomers thereof which are useful for the prevention or treatment of cellular necrosis and necrosis-associated diseases. The present invention also relates to a method and a composition for the prevention or treatment of cellular necrosis and necrosis-associated diseases, comprising said indole or indazole compounds as an active ingredient.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for providing a graphical user interface (GUI) provide a GUI based on a shelf region that allows one or more graphical objects to be selected or executed on the same display level as one or more graphical objects that are displayed on a background screen. The apparatus includes a first region configured to display one or more graphical objects; a second region configured to be generated by a user setting as an M×N region; and a control unit configured to add one or more of the graphical objects to the second region and to, in response to the number of graphical objects added to the second region being N or greater, display the added graphical objects so that the added graphical objects can be selected, executed, or navigated by a flick or touch gesture that is made in the second region.
