Abstract:
An interactive digital logistics system is disclosed that receives real-time, on-demand data with immediate and same-day availability information from businesses, then displays the information for consumers to view, select, connect, and reserve the available services or products within a specified radius of their current geographical location. Businesses can accept or decline each consumer request and the interactive digital logistics system tracks the consumer's progress to the business's location. The interactive digital logistics system also tracks the progress of each request until completion and prompts both the consumer and business to rate their experience with the other party. The interactive digital logistics system then calculates an average rating for each party which is displayed in their respective profiles.
Abstract:
A method for measuring furnace temperatures. The method includes obtaining radiance measurements from a plurality of regions of interest (ROIs) using a plurality of thermal imaging cameras, and measuring a surface temperature using a radiance measurement obtained from an ROI selected from the plurality of ROIs. Measuring the surface temperature includes determining an effective background radiance affecting the selected ROI using radiance measurements obtained from ROIs different from the selected ROI, obtaining a compensated radiance by removing the effective background radiance from the radiance measurement obtained from the selected ROI, and converting the compensated radiance to the measured surface temperature.
Abstract:
A system for tracking a patient is provided. The system can include a first reference frame coupled to a first portion of an anatomical structure. The system can include a second reference frame, which can be coupled to a second portion of the anatomical structure. The system can also include a first tracking device coupled to the first reference frame and a second tracking device coupled to the second reference frame. The system can also include a tracking system that can track a position of the first tracking device and the second tracking device to ensure that the position of the first reference frame relative to the anatomical structure is substantially the same throughout a surgical procedure.
Abstract:
An igniter includes a housing having a first end with an opening, a second end opposite the first end, a longitudinal axis extending from the first end to the second end, and a top surface with a weakened area. The igniter may further include a pyrotechnic material disposed within the housing, a header having a first end and a second end opposite the first end, and a bridge element provided on the first end of the header and having lead wires on the second end of the header. The first end of the header may be inserted into the opening of the housing in a first direction so as to force the header against the pyrotechnic material. Flow of current through the bridge element heats the bridge element and ignites the pyrotechnic material, which causes the weakened area to rupture.
Abstract:
The invention, which may be a kind of annotations processor, detects zero or more tagsets turned on or selected at runtime. The annotations adapter reads an abstract unit from a java file, and if an annotation of the abstract unit has a tag that is among the tags of a turned on tagset, then the annotations adapter may generate an artifact showing the influence of the annotation. Such a process may continue until there are no more abstract units to process. Comments or annotations that fail to be tagged with a tag of a selected tagset may, nevertheless, be mentioned with a kind of ‘place-holder’ indicating that such comments exist.
Abstract:
A method for linking together three or more powered systems to operate as a single distributed power system, the method includes identifying a first linking protocol between at least a first powered system and a second powered system, determining whether at least a third powered system is compatible with the first linking protocol, if not compatible, switching to at least a second linking protocol to find a common linking protocol between the first powered system, the second powered system, and at least the third powered system, and linking the first powered system, the second powered system, and at least the third power system to operate in a distributed power configuration when the common linking protocol is found. A system and a computer software code linking together two or more powered systems to operate as a single distributed power system are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A communication interface between an order generating program that generates orders and an order processing program that processes orders is managed. At least one metric that is based on orders passing from the order generating program to the order processing program is monitored. The communication interface between the order generating program and the order processing program is determined to have failed based on the monitored metric. The communication interface is then restarted based on when it has been determined to have failed.
Abstract:
A gas pressure regulator (100) includes a mechanical primary stage (102), preferably including a spring valve, and an electronic secondary stage (104), preferably including a micromachined pressure regulator, the combination of the mechanical primary stage and the electronic secondary stage suitable for relatively precise low pressure near zero flow rates with reasonable energy consumption rates, such as encountered when supplying fuel to a low power fuel cell system.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and computer-readable media are provided for dynamically recognizing and processing service order types in a network management system. Service type data for a new service order type is registered in a database table while the network management system is operating. Then, a service order is received in the network management system and the service order is parsed to determine if the received service order corresponds with the new service order type based on the service type data registered in the database table. If the service order corresponds with the new service order type, then the service order is processed by the network management system. If the service order does not correspond with the new service order type, then updated service type data may be registered in the database table.
Abstract:
A method of an embodiment of the invention is disclosed that outputs a first color calibration target using a first color printing technology onto media that has a second color calibration target already output thereon using a second color printing technology. The color differences between the first and the second color calibration targets are determined. The first color printing technology is calibrated, based on the color differences between the first and the second color calibration targets.
