The pharmaceutical composition contains, as an active ingredient, a sugar in which a mannose unit makes up 66% or more in terms of the number of mannose units and which has a polymerization degree of 3 to 10.
Abstract:
A solid particle counting system for measuring solid particle number concentrations from engine or vehicle exhausts in real-time includes a diluter arrangement, a particle counter, and a flow splitter. The diluter arrangement mixes the dilution gas with flowing sample gases. The flow splitter receives the output flow from the diluter arrangement, provides a portion of this flow to the particle counter, and provides a by-pass flow that is received by a vacuum pump. A second flow route to the particle counter includes a valve arranged such that opening the valve during the starting of the vacuum pump reduces a pressure pulse at the particle counter caused by the starting of the vacuum pump, thereby avoiding work fluid backflow from the particle counter prior to the vacuum pump stabilizing.
Abstract:
For cooling of an electronic equipment, a heat receiving jacket, to which piping extended outside the electronic equipment is connected, is mounted to a heat generating element in the electronic equipment, a radiator, a cooling-liquid tank, a pump, and a pipe, which joins them, are constructed as an external module, and the external module is mounted externally and fixed to a housing of the electronic equipment. Cooling liquid is circulated by the pump through the heat receiving jacket, the radiator, and the tank to achieve cooling.
Abstract:
A real-time particulate matter measuring system includes a hot diluter for receiving and diluting aerosol. An evaporation unit receives the diluted aerosol. A cold diluter receives and dilutes the output flow from the evaporation unit. A condensation particle counter receives the diluted output flow and measures the particle number concentration. An integrated device also receives the diluted output flow. The integrated device measures at least one of particle diameter concentration and particle surface area. The integrated device also measures mass concentration.
Abstract:
A partial flow sampling system includes a system inlet for receiving an exhaust sample flow from a sample inlet probe and transfer line. The system further includes a dilution air control system for controlling a dilution air flow rate, and a mixer. The mixer receives and mixes the exhaust sample flow and the dilution air flow to produce a mixture flow. A total flow control system controls the mixture flow rate. An orifice flow meter installed at the system inlet measures the exhaust sample flow rate in. real-time. This provides accurate sample flow measurements over a wide range of dilution ratios and sample ratios.
Abstract:
This invention is a method for constructing recombinant organisms that produce proteins lethal to the larvae of insects. Nucleotide sequences were isolated from Bacillus popilliae that encode two adjacent, putative genes; orf1 and cryhime1. The cryhime1 sequence was related to other Bacillus popilliae genes that encode proteins active against Scarabaeidae insect larvae. When these nucleotide sequences were transferred to Bacillus thuringiensis, a protein was produced that had a lethal effect on the larvae from Scarabaeidae insects. When the orf1 sequence was removed from the recombinant Bacillus thuringiensis strain, no protein active against Scarabaeidae insect larvae was produced, strongly suggesting that the orf1 sequences are required for expression of the cryhime1 gene.
Abstract:
The invention presents a differential pressure type emission flow rate measuring method and apparatus and an emission measuring system using the same apparatus, capable of correcting measuring error occurring due to pulsation appropriately and enhancing the measuring precision of flow rate when measuring the flow rate of emission having pulsation. The invention, in measuring the flow rate of an emission exhausted from an engine, determines an accurate flow rate in spite of pulsation by using a differential pressure type flowmeter as the flowmeter, resolving the detected differential pressure signal by frequency, and correcting by using a correction coefficient predetermined depending on each frequency obtained by frequency resolution.
Abstract:
The direction of change of an analog signal which is digitally displayed on a digital display can be immediately determined at a glance by providing a change-display in the vicinity of the digital display, which digitally displays the analog signal value. The change-display displays whether the analog input signal is increasing or decreasing by comparing the present value of the input signal with a previous value thereof. This comparison may be effected by integrating the input signal and comparing the integrated input signal with the input signal or by differentiating the input signal or by using a sample and hold circuit to hold a previous input signal value which is then compared with the present input signal value.
Abstract:
The present invention is one that, even while cooling exhaust gas without dilution, makes it possible to accurately measure particle concentration, and provided with: a particle concentration measurement device; a sampling cooling pipe that cools the exhaust gas collected from an exhaust gas transfer pipe to a measurable temperature of the particle concentration measurement device without dilution, and introduces the cooled exhaust gas into the particle concentration measurement device; a temperature sensor that detects temperature of the exhaust gas flowing into an exhaust gas inlet; and a calculation device that, from the detected temperature by the temperature sensor and the temperature of the exhaust gas introduced into the particle concentration measurement device, corrects measured particle concentration by the particle concentration measurement device in real time to calculate the particle concentration of the exhaust gas flowing through the exhaust gas transfer pipe.
Abstract:
The present invention regards the composition having a blood pressure reducing and/or elevation suppressing effect comprising a mannose-based oligosaccharide mass comprising 1 to 10 molecules of monosaccharides linked together, said molecules mainly comprising mannose. It is the object of the present invention to provide an economical and simple food and drink which has an excellent blood pressure reducing and/or elevation suppressing effect without changing ordinary eating habits much, and a composition ingestible with a food and drink which effectively uses waste resources such as coffee extraction residues.
