摘要： A billing system includes an operation unit, a determination unit, an extraction unit, a first calculator, and a second calculator. The operation unit receives an operation for executing a function provided by one device of a plurality of devices. The determination unit determines whether the one device is available for the function associated with the operation received by the operation unit. The extraction unit extracts another device that is available for the function as a substitute for the one device when the determination unit determines that the one device is not available for the function. The first calculator calculates a fee for the function to be executed by the other device. The second calculator calculates a total billed amount based on the fee calculated by the first calculator and content executed by the other device when the function is executed by the other device.

摘要： An operation unit in a child device causes a main unit in the child device to execute a stand-alone job, and causes the main unit and a server device to execute a cooperating job. The main unit executes the stand-alone job every time it is requested, and generates and manages a stand-alone job log including stand-alone job log identification information. The server device controls the execution of stand-alone jobs included in the cooperating job based on a request for executing the cooperating job, and manages cooperating job identification information associated with the stand-alone job log identification information of the stand-alone jobs included in the cooperating job. The server device acquires the stand-alone job logs from the main unit and extracts the stand-alone job logs including the stand-alone job log identification information associated with the cooperating job identification information, to generate a cooperating job log corresponding to the cooperating job.

摘要： An ROI setting apparatus including an ROI recognition unit and an ROI control unit is provided. In one embodiment, the ROI recognition unit contains multiple ROI recognition modules for recognizing an ROI of image data according to various methods to obtain a recognition result. The ROI control unit selects one ROI recognition module out of the ROI recognition modules and sets ROI information based on the recognition result. The ROI recognition module may be selected according to an instruction from a user input via an operation unit, or a scene type selected by a scene selection switch of an image capture unit. The ROI control unit may perform operations such as selecting, enlarging, or reducing the ROI recognized by the ROI recognition module, or changing the ROI recognition conditions according to the respective instructions from the user input via the operation unit.

The tile boundary smoothing part controls the degree of smoothing of the low-pass filter according to the ratio of the decoding quantity to the entire quantity of the compressed code. The decoding quantity is the portion of the compressed code which portion is to be decoded.

摘要： A image processing apparatus transmits a codestream through a transmission path, the codestream being created from an image by dividing the image into rectangular portions and performing a discrete wavelet transform, a quantization and an entropy encoding for the respective rectangular portions of the image. The image processing apparatus comprises an error resilience inserting unit which inserts error resilience to respective code data of the rectangular portions prior to the entropy coding, and an error resilience setting unit which sets intensities of the error resilience inserted to the respective code data for the error resilience inserting unit, so that the error resilience intensities are different according to base units of the respective code data.
