摘要: A ribbon feed mechanism for a printer which develops a drive force for a printing ribbon utilizing the reciprocating movement of a carriage. Torque is applied to two drive gears through a single wire under tension in response to the movement of the carriage. A ribbon drive gear for feeding the ribbon in a predetermined direction is alternately meshed with the two drive gears during reciprocation of the carriage to be thereby rotated in a predetermined single direction. When the ribbon feed is needless, the tension is removed from the wire.

摘要: A type carrier for use in an impact-type printing machine to form an imprint of virtually the equal quality when used with either a flat hammer or a detentable, shaped hammer is provided. The present type carrier includes a hub and a plurality of fingers extending from the hub, each finger having a printing section which has a front surface provided with at least one type and a back surface having a novel structure. The back surface of the printing section includes at least one flat portion and at least a pair of sloped portions. Preferably, the sloped portions are defined such that they slope down oppositely from a plane common to or below the flat portion in the direction substantially perpendicular to the lengthwise direction of the finger.

摘要: An improved type element mounting for a high speed type element positioning mechanism of the type which has a type head member having therein a plurality of type elements and a type head shaft on which the type head is mounted. The type head member has a spherical surface on which the type elements are mounted with the faces thereof on the sperical surface and movable in the type head member for being projected beyond the spherical surface. The type elements lie along latitudinal circles on the surface the centers of which lie on the axis of the type head shaft, and the type elements in adjacent latitudinal circles are substantially aligned along longitudinal circles extending from the point of intersection of the type head shaft axis and the spherical surface. The type head shaft is pivotally mounted for pivotal movement around a point corresponding to the center of the sphere of which the spherical surface forms a part. A type hammer is positioned adjacent the type head for striking a type element for projecting it beyond the spherical surface for carrying out a printing action. Each type element has a cylindrical shape with projection extending along the length thereof so as to correspond to shaped holes through which the type elements extend and guide the type elements in their movement to project from the type head member.

摘要: An amorphous solid composition for a vanadium redox flow battery electrolyte, which can be suitably used for storage of excess electric power for using in daytime, generated in nighttime by a power station, storage of electric power generated by photovoltaic power generation or wind power generation, and the like. The amorphous solid composition for vanadium flow battery electrolyte is characterized in that the weight ratio of the vanadium content in the tetravalent vanadium ions to the vanadium content in the trivalent vanadium ions is 4.5:5.5 to 5.5:4.5, and that the composition exists within the region circumscribed by a straight line A-B, a straight line B-E, a straight line E-F and a straight line F-A, wherein these lines are formed by joining point A (1.25, 23.2), point B (1.25, 20.4), point E (1.60, 18.4) and point F (1.60, 21.2), respectively, in an x-y coordinate system in which the total vanadium content (% by weight) of the tetravalent vanadium ions and the trivalent vanadium ions in the composition is defined as a y-coordinate, a value obtained by dividing the total amount of the tetravalent vanadium ions and the trivalent vanadium ions by 50.94 is defined as a value, a value obtained by dividing the content of sulfate ions in the composition by 96.1 is defined as b value, and a value obtained by dividing b value by a value is defined as an x-coordinate.
