摘要: A liquid discharging apparatus, having a head with nozzles, a scanning assembly, a conveyer, and a controller, is provided. The controller is configured to conduct actions including a conveying action and a scanning action. The scanning action includes a forward scanning action and a backward scanning action, in each of which a deceleration distance is longer than an acceleration distance. The controller is configured to determine, prior to conducting the forward scanning action, whether a deceleration range corresponding to the deceleration distance in the forward scanning action coincides with a discharging range in the forward scanning action. In a case where the controller determines that the deceleration range coincides with the discharging range, the controller is configured to conduct the backward scanning action, without conducting the forward scanning action, based on partial image data being a part of the image data corresponding to the forward scanning action.

摘要: A printer including: (i) a guide device extending in a first direction; (ii) a carriage reciprocateable in the first direction, while being guided by the guide device; (iii) a recording head carried by the carriage; (iv) a feed device for feeding the recording medium in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction; (v) a flexible ink-supply tube for supplying ink to the recording head; and (vi) a carriage movement detector including an encoder strip which extends in the first direction. The ink-supply tube has a U-shaped body including a pair of arm portions extending in the first direction and spaced apart from each other in the second direction. The guide device, the ink-supply tube and the encoder strip are located on respective different positions in a third direction that is perpendicular to the first and second directions. The ink-supply tube has a part that overlaps with the guide device and the encoder strip as seen in the third direction.

摘要: A printing apparatus includes a head configured to discharge liquid to a printing medium, a carriage configured to move the head back and forth to one side and another side in a scanning direction with respect to the printing medium, and a control unit configured to perform printing of a printing image with the liquid by controlling driving of the head and the carriage. When performing printing of an end portion of the printing image on the one side, the control unit performs the printing by a first scan in which the head is moved from the one side to the other side, and when performing printing of an end portion of the printing image on the other side, the control unit performs the printing by a second scan in which the head is moved from the other side to the one side.

摘要: A recording apparatus includes an ejecting unit configured to eject a first ink for image forming and a substantially colorless second ink onto a recording surface of a recording medium, and a control unit configured to control ejecting operations of the first ink and the second ink. The second ink is permeation ink configured to permeate the first ink into the recording medium from the recording surface to an opposite surface of the recording medium. The control unit controls the ejecting unit to perform a plurality of ejecting operations of the first ink with respect to one ejecting operation of the second ink. An ejecting amount of the first ink ejected when the ejecting unit ejects both of the first ink and the second ink is greater than an ejecting amount of the first ink ejected when the ejecting unit ejects only the first ink without ejecting the second ink.

摘要: A method in a printer comprising a first printhead to dispense a first printing fluid and a second printhead to dispense a second printing fluid, the first and second printheads being arranged on a common scan axis that is substantially perpendicular to a media advance direction. The method comprises controlling movement of the first and second printheads relative to a media being printed, between a first index position and a second index position, the second index position being downstream of the first index position, and wherein the movement occurs during a time period between a forward scan and a reverse scan of the first and second printheads across a media being printed.
