    摘要: Apparatuses and methods for controlling the engine speed of an engine. A throttle receives an operator input indicative of a desired engine speed. A first sensor is coupled with the throttle, and transmits a throttle signal indicative of a position of the throttle. A minimum speed governor is coupled with the first sensor to receive the throttle signal. The minimum speed governor determines a rate of change of the throttle signal, and transmits a minimum engine speed signal indicative of a desired minimum engine speed of the engine as a function of the rate of change of the throttle signal.

    摘要: Past air intake systems have failed to effectively and efficiently utilize the arrangement of structural components to increase boost at low engine speeds. The present air intake system effectively and efficiently utilizes the arrangement of structural components to increase boost at low engine speeds. The air intake system directs intake air through a turbocharger and evaluates the quantity of flow of intake air to the engine as compared to the flow of fuel. And, depending on the results of the evaluation, a directional control valve directs the flow of intake air to a supercharger or to the engine. The supercharger is driven by a motor having a variable rate of speed as compared to the engine.

    摘要: An anti-flicker and anti-glow switchable load apparatus to be installed in the light socket of a commonly powered electronic switching device, such as a motion activated light switch. An energy efficient light bulb or lamp, such as a cathode fluorescent lamp or light emitting diode is then electrically connected to the apparatus. A first embodiment of the present invention includes a switchable light source, a switchable load, a controller, and a voltage sensor. When the present invention in the first embodiment detects a higher voltage, thus indicating the lamp has been switched from the “off” state to the on state, the switchable load is disconnected, and the current is re-routed to pass through the energy efficient lamp.

    摘要: The invention is a method for a cylinder cutout system in a compression ignition engine utilizing a plurality of electronic unit injectors. An electronic controller, in communication with the compression ignition engine, is configured to receive a plurality of sensor signals indicative of current engine operating parameters. In response to the received signals, the electronic controller produces an injector signal. Included in each of the electronic unit injectors is a solenoid, that when activated in response to the injector signal received from the electronic controller, will facilitate injection of fuel to a corresponding cylinder. A predetermined plurality of the electronic unit injectors will be deactivated in response to the injector signal.
