Abstract:
A wheelchair with enhanced toilet access which facilitates independent use of the wheelchair by the user without intervention by caregivers. The wheelchair with enhanced toilet access includes a frame which includes a pair of laterally-separated side frame portions, with primary wheels as well as at least one secondary wheel rotatably mounted on the frame. A seat extends between the side frame portions, and includes a stationary portion and a movable portion.
Abstract:
Systems and methods include optics having one or more phase modifying elements that modify wavefront phase to introduce image attributes into an optical image. A detector converts the optical image to electronic data while maintaining the image attributes. A signal processor subdivides the electronic data into one or more data sets, classifies the data sets, and independently processes the data sets to form processed electronic data. The processing may optionally be nonlinear. Other imaging systems and methods include optics having one or more phase modifying elements that modify wavefront phase to form an optical image. A detector generates electronic data having one or more image attributes that are dependent on characteristics of the phase modifying elements and/or the detector. A signal processor subdivides the electronic data into one or more data sets, classifies the data sets and independently processes the data sets to form processed electronic data.
Abstract:
A decision engine is provided that integrates all components of a credit application process, including access to and manipulation of credit bureau data, credit scoring, credit decisioning, and matching the correct products, into a single application service provider (ASP) platform which is accessible through a series of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
Abstract:
A machine and method for making bags is described and includes a web traveling from an input section to a rotary drum, to an output section. The rotary drum includes at least one seal bar, having a single sealing zone, and an weakening zone disposed within the single sealing zone. The single sealing zone may be a heated perforator, includes a heating wire. The heating wire may be an NiCr wire and make intermittent contact with the web and be disposed in an insert. The weakening zone may create a line of weakness that is uniform or varies in intensity. The sealing zone may include temperature zones, cartridge heaters, cooling air, or heated air, or a source of ultrasonic, microwave or radiative energy.
Abstract:
An innovative circuit is disclosed that enhances performance on a SCSI bus by pipelining nexuses in order to associate all nexus attributes on a per nexus basis. For example, a pipeline of nexuses is created so as to associate all of the nexus attributes from different connections involved. A plurality of load stages is provided whereby each load stage can latch all nexus attributes received at that stage. The latched nexus attributes can be loaded and stored at that stage or shifted to the next stage. As a result of the loading and shifting operations, a pipeline of nexuses is created that associates all of the nexus attributes received from the different connections on a per nexus basis. Therefore, all types of data traffic can be processed concurrently on a SCSI bus, which enhances data throughput and bus performance.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a markup language document stored on a computer-readable medium to provide interactive services and methods thereof. The markup language comprises a dialog element and a step element. The dialog element includes markup language elements in which each markup language element is identifiable by one or more markup tags. The step element is contained within the dialog element and defines a state within the dialog element. The step element includes a prompt element, an input element, and a first attribute. The prompt element includes an announcement to be read to the user, and the input element includes at least one input that corresponds to a user input. The first attribute allows for billing of the interactive services.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a markup language to provide interactive services. A markup language document in accordance with the present invention includes a dialog element including a plurality of markup language elements. Each of the plurality of markup language elements is identifiable by at least one markup tag. A step element is contained within the dialog element to define a state within the dialog element. The step element includes a prompt element and an input element. The prompt element includes an announcement to be read to the user. The input element includes at least one input that corresponds to a user input. A method in accordance with the present invention includes the steps of creating a markup language document having a plurality of elements, selecting a prompt element, and defining a voice communication in the prompt element to be read to the user. The method further includes the steps of selecting an input element and defining an input variable to store data inputted by the user.
Abstract:
Reusable cassettes for a drug pump are disclosed to house a fluid reservoir and tubing extending from the reservoir across a tubing support surface of the pressure plate of the cassette. A hinged housing provides reversible access to the fluid reservoir. Reuse of a portion of the pressure plate is also disclosed.
Abstract:
Various methods and devices are provided for allowing multiple surgical instruments to be inserted into sealing elements of a single surgical access device. The sealing elements can be movable along predefined pathways within the device to allow surgical instruments inserted through the sealing elements to be moved laterally, rotationally, angularly, and vertically relative to a central longitudinal axis of the device for ease of manipulation within a patient's body while maintaining insufflation.
