摘要: An internal combustion engine has a crankshaft with at least one throw being formed as a complete disc over at least a portion of its thickness. Permanent magnets are attached to the disc of the at least one throw in an annular array. Electromagnets are attached to the engine block, a brace coupled to the engine block, and/or an oil pan mounted to the engine block. The brace may include one or more circular structures surrounding the discs of the throws, and may support the electromagnets. The electromagnets are positioned opposite the permanent magnets. A control system selectively provides electrical current to the electromagnets to affect the motion of the crankshaft, and may further selectively activate and deactivate at least one of the cylinders by stopping fuel flow, spark, and/or intake valve actuation.

摘要: A system and method for route health injection using virtual tunnel endpoints. The method includes detecting, by a virtual tunnel endpoint (VTEP), that a new host is connected to the VTEP, where the VTEP is executing on the network device. The method further includes, based on the detecting, generating by the VTEP, a new route for the new host, where the new route is at least a longer match for the new host than currently existing routes for the new host, and providing the new route to a default gateway for the new host.

摘要: Robots including projectors for projecting images on identified projection surfaces are disclosed. A robot includes a housing, an electronic control unit coupled to the housing, a projector coupled to the housing, a human recognition module coupled to the housing, and a projection surface identification module coupled to the housing. The projector, the human recognition module, and the surface identification module are communicatively coupled with the electronic control unit. The electronic control unit includes a non-transitory memory that stores a set of machine readable instructions and a processor for executing the machine readable instructions. When executed by the processor, the machine readable instructions cause the robot to recognize a human using the human recognition module, identify a projection surface using the projection surface recognition module, and project an image on the identified projection surface with the projector.

摘要: Methods and systems are disclosed herein for detecting problems related to copyback programming. After the copyback data is read into the internal flash buffer, a part of the copyback data stored in the internal flash buffer (such as spare data) is analyzed to determine whether there are any errors in a part of the copyback data read. The analysis may be used by the flash memory in one or more ways related to the current copyback operation, subsequent copyback operations, subsequent treatment of the data in the current copyback operation, and subsequent treatment of the section in memory associated with the source page.

摘要: The present invention is directed toward methods and systems for data de-duplication. More particularly, in various embodiments, the present invention provides systems and methods for data de-duplication that may utilize storage reclamation. In various embodiments, data de-duplication may be performed using data storage reclamation by reconciling a list of all active tags against a list of all tags present within the object store itself. Any tags found to be in the object store that have no corresponding active usage may then be deleted. In some embodiments additional steps may be taken to avoid race conditions in deleting tags that are needed by incoming data. In some embodiments the object store may request the lists. In other embodiments, a runtime list, in which each new tag is entered as they are returned from the object store. In another embodiment the object store may maintain this list directly.

摘要: A daisy-chained memory topology wherein, in addition to the prediction of the timing of receipt of a response from a memory module (DIMM), the memory controller can effectively predict when a command sent by it will be executed by the addressee DIMM. By programming DIMM-specific command delay in the DIMM's command delay unit, the command delay balancing methodology according to the present disclosure “normalizes” or “synchronizes” the execution of the command signal across all DIMMs in the memory channel. By predicting command execution timing, the memory controller can efficiently control power profile of all the DRAM devices (or memory modules) on a daisy-chained memory channel. A separate DIMM-specific response delay unit in the DIMM is programmable to provide DIMM-specific delay compensation in the response path, further allowing the memory controller to accurately ascertain the timing of receipt of a response.

摘要: Methods and systems for using counters to monitor port buffers are described. In one embodiment, the method includes receiving data packets into a system port buffer having different queues. Also, counters are associated with the queues. Further, the method includes scanning the counters, in which the counters count the number of dropped data packets associated with an individual queue of the different queues. Moreover, the method includes determining if the number of dropped data packets for an individual queue is greater than a predetermined number. If the number of dropped data packets is greater than the predetermined number, then a message is generated.
