The dilator includes a hollow frusto conical configuration having a distal and proximal end, a continuous tapered outer surface extending from said distal end to said proximal end of said dilator, the continuous tapered outer surface configured to engage a bone in order to radially expand the bone outwardly as the dilator is advanced into an opening, one end of dilator having a cross-section less than the cross-section of the opening for insertion into the opening, and the other end of the dilator having a cross-section greater than the cross-section of the opening so that insertion of the body member in the opening expands the opening.

At least one arm extends between the collar and the base. The at least one arm is movable via axial movement of the base relative to the shaft between a first position and a second position such that the at least one arm is expanded in a configuration to engage tissue. The scoring member having an abrasive surface to score the surface of the bone in which it is put in contact. A method for using the scoring device as well as a kit including the scoring device are also provided.

    摘要: An implant includes a body having an upper and lower ends, a longitudinal bore defined by a threaded interior surface, and a threaded exterior surface; at least one stabilizer arm associated with a corresponding longitudinal slot in the body, the stabilizer arm being hingedly attached to the body and having a bone gripping protuberance projecting laterally outward therefrom. The stabilizer arm is movable from a first position wherein the bone gripping protuberance is positioned within the bore and a second fully extended position wherein the bone gripping protuberance is positioned outside the threaded exterior surface of the body. The stabilizer arm is resiliently biased to the first position. A camming member is movable through the bore of the body from an initial position to a final position wherein the stabilizer arm is moved to the second stabilizer arm position.

    摘要: Compositions, methods and kits to be used as a lubricant and for treatment of a cavity pathology including joint pathology are provided. The composition comprises therapeutically effective amounts of at least one bioactive agent, such as magnesium compound, at least one lubricating agent, such as hyaluronic acid, and at least one cell membrane repairing agent, such as polyethylene glycol. The components of these compositions may be administered by a direct application, an application through a cannula, an intra-articular injection, as a flush fluid during an arthroscopy of the affected area, as a post-arthroscopy injection, or as part of a lavage of the area affected by the intra-articular pathology. In addition, the composition of the present invention may be administered to the patient from a pump or a depot.
