A multi-functional cutting tool has a first cutting head, a second cutting head positioned opposite to the first cutting head, a shank formed between the first cutting head and the second cutting head, and a chip discharge portion extending from the first cutting head to the second cutting head by way of the shank. The first cutting head has 180 degrees rotational symmetry with the second cutting head about an axis, which passes through the longitudinal center of the cutting tool and is perpendicular to the central axis of the cutting tool. The chip discharge portion comprises a helical portion formed helically with respect to the central axis of the cutting tool such that the chip discharge portion is not positioned on the portion, where a tool holder clamps the cutting tool and a cutting load is concentrated during the cutting process.

A system for safely opening/closing a power window of a vehicle includes a main opening/closing device provided adjacent to a driver seat so as to open and close a window of a passenger seat. A sub opening/closing device is provided adjacent to a passenger seat so as to open and close a window of a passenger seat. A plurality of main electrodes of the main opening/closing device includes at least one main ground electrode for generating a signal. A main center electrode is electrically connected to a sub opening/closing device and to at least one main ground electrode by a main switch, and is disposed on a portion of a main plate to be prevented from being electrically connected to a main ground electrode when a main switch moves.
Abstract:
A non-volatile memory device comprises a memory cell array having a plurality of non-volatile memory cells arranged in rows and columns. Selected memory cells are programmed by applying program voltages thereto. Next, data bits stored in the selected cells are read. Then, a first column scan operation is performed to determine whether any of the selected memory cells is inadequately programmed. Upon determining that at least one of the selected memory cells is inadequately programmed, a second column scan operation is performed to detect a total number of the selected memory cells that are inadequately programmed. Upon determining that the total number of the selected memory cells that are inadequately programmed is less than a number that can be corrected by an error correcting circuit, the program operation terminates with a program pass status.
Abstract:
Provided are a system and method for determining a position based on portable Internet in a portable Internet system. The method includes receiving, by the terminal, information on neighbor base stations (BSs) from a main BS, scanning the neighbor BSs while measuring Received Signal Strength Indicators (RSSIs) for the main BS and the neighbor BSs, determining whether the RSSI for the main BS is greater than a preset threshold value, and deciding, as a position of the terminal, a position associated with an IDentification (ID) of the main BS when the RSSI is greater than the threshold value.
Abstract:
An electron emission display and a method of controlling the same, in which a voltage applied between a cathode electrode and a gate electrode is adjusted according to an image level, includes: a pixel portion having a plurality of electron emission devices formed adjacent to a region where a plurality of data lines intersects a plurality of scan lines; a data driver supplying a data signal corresponding to video data to the plurality of data lines; a scan driver supplying scan signals to the plurality of scan lines in sequence; a power supply supplying power to the data driver and the scan driver; and a voltage level controller controlling a voltage difference between an cathode electrode and a gate electrode of the electron emission device on the basis of an image level corresponding to the video data. With this configuration, a contrast of an image is high in the case of a low image level and a power consumption is limited in the case of a high image level, and an electron emission device is prevented from deterioration.
Abstract:
An electron emission panel driving method and apparatus that is capable of reducing the panel's power consumption. The driving method includes the operation of comparing two successive frames of image data. When the two successive frames are not identical, each of the two frames is driven during a one-frame period, and when the two successive frames are identical, only one frame is driven during a two-frame period.
Abstract:
Provided is a method for driving an electron emission device that reduces the required withstand voltage of an integrated circuit constituting a scan driver, which reduces both the manufacturing costs of an electron emission device and the likelihood of noise in the scan driver, as well as preventing back emission. Scan signals are applied to scan electrode lines during a scan period and an offset period, which is a non-scan period. Display data signals are applied to data electrode lines during a first data period, when a difference between a voltage of the display data signal and a voltage of the scan signal is greater than or equal to an emission start voltage; and during a second data period, when the voltage difference is less than the emission start voltage.
