Abstract:
A shirt collar locking system for locking a shirt collar in an upright position adapted for use with a stick-shaped collar stay having a first end and an opposing second end, the system comprising a shirt collar attached to a collar stand at an upper portion of the collar stand, an inner side of the shirt collar facing an outer side of the collar stand when the shirt collar is in a folded down position relative to the collar stand, wherein: the shirt collar includes a shirt collar stay pocket formed on the inner side of the shirt collar and configured to receive the first end of the collar stay, the collar stand includes a collar stand receiving portion formed on the outer side of the collar stand and configured to receive the opposing second end of the collar stay so as to lock the shirt collar to the collar stand, and when the shirt collar is in a folded down position relative to the collar stand, a first end of the shirt collar stay pocket adapted for insertion of the first end of the collar stay is aligned with and proximate to a first end of the collar stand receiving portion adapted for insertion of the second end of the collar stay.
Abstract:
A computer-implemented method includes receiving, at a computing device, a request from a user device to access requested data. Based on the request, a reader object is selected that specifies data access information associated with accessing data from a particular data source. Computer-implementable access code is dynamically instantiated to access the requested data from a data source based on the reader object and the request. A data access request is sent to the data source based on the computer-implementable access code. The requested data is received from the data source and a presentation object is selected that specifies data output information associated with the reader object. Computer-implementable output code is dynamically instantiated to output the requested data based on the presentation object. Output data, including the requested data, is sent to the user device in a presentation format specified by the computer-implementable output code.
Abstract:
A convertible toe strap for securing a toe area of a snowboarding boot is selectively and repeatedly convertible between different restraining configurations. The convertible toe strap includes a first configuration where one of toe lift or forward movement is resisted and a second configuration where both toe lift and forward movement is resisted.

Abstract:
A combined content addressable memory device and memory interface is provided. The combined device and interface includes one or more one molecular wire crossbar memories having spaced-apart key nanowires, spaced-apart value nanowires adjacent to the key nanowires, and configurable switches between the key nanowires and the value nanowires. The combination further includes a key microwire-nanowire grid (key MNG) electrically connected to the spaced-apart key nanowires, and a value microwire-nanowire grid (value MNG) electrically connected to the spaced-apart value nanowires. A key or value MNGs selects multiple nanowires for a given key or value.
Abstract:
According to embodiments of the present invention, a barcode scanner platform is provided in which the gain of an analog signal representative of a barcode is controlled using a control loop. In embodiments, an MTF detector generates a value (e.g., DC) representative of a low frequency portion (wide or out of optical focus elements) of the analog signal and a second value (e.g., DC) representative of a high frequency portion (narrow elements or in optical focus elements) of the analog signal. The processor uses the first and the second values and a reference amplitude to determine a gain signal. The processor provides the gain signal to an AGC circuit that provides a linear response to the gain signal using matched JFETs. A noise filter can be enabled or disabled based on the first value, the second value, and/or the barcode scanner platform read rate.
Abstract:
A text teletype writer (TTY) is provided for receiving, processing, and displaying caller identification information in a visual display. A call back function is included to allow for automatic DTMF dialing of a telephone number associated with a previously received call.
Abstract:
A data processing system, comprising a plurality of customer premises equipment (CPE) servers located at a plurality of different active sites, each of the CPE servers comprising a local storage unit, wherein each of the CPE servers is configured to collect one or more copies of one or more servers, applications or data of the active site at which that CPE server is located and to store the copies in the local storage unit of that CPE server; a data storage and compute unit that is coupled to the CPE servers through a network, wherein the data storage unit is configured to receive transmissions of the copies, to verify the copies, and to store the copies in online accessible secure storage that is segregated by business entity; logic stored in a computer-readable storage medium and coupled to the data storage unit and to the CPE servers through the network, wherein the logic is operable to receive a request from a particular active site to restore one or more data elements contained in the secure storage of the data storage unit associated with the particular active site, to inflate the one or more data elements, and to provide the particular active site with online access to the one or more data elements that are inflated.
Abstract:
A bubble free, self-priming IV set for use in the administration of liquids includes a coupling assembly for attaching the delivery system to a source of liquid and includes a coupling membrane for controlling the flow of liquid and air through the coupling assembly. The system also includes a drip chamber for receiving liquid through the coupling assembly, the drip chamber having a membrane for preventing air from leaving the drip chamber. A self leveling port is disposed within a wall of the drip chamber, the port being permeable to air, but impermeable to liquid. Finally, a patient conduit is in fluid communication with the drip chamber and further comprises a flow control plug disposed at the distal end of the conduit. The flow control plug is permeable to air but impermeable to liquid. Use of this system allows a clinician to attach a source of fluid to a patient without significant intervention, while the system self primes.
