摘要: A directional headlamp assembly for independently directing light from a pair of headlamps includes a pair of headlamp modules and a controller. Each headlamp module replaces a respective headlamp of a pair of existing headlamps of a vehicle. The headlamp module comprises a first housing, which insertable of into an opening created upon removal of the respective headlamp, so that the first housing is engaged to the vehicle. A bulb is pivotally engaged to a front of the first housing. An actuator is engaged to and positioned in the first housing. The actuator is operationally engaged to the bulb. The controller is mountable within a passenger compartment of the vehicle so that it is accessible to a driver of the vehicle. The controller is independently and operationally engaged to each of the actuators and thus is positioned to selectively actuate each actuator to direct light emitted by an associated bulb.

摘要: Described herein are embodiments for identifying and grouping users of a system based on common interests and/or purchasing goals. In embodiments, one or more items of interest of a user are determined based on user input. A group is formed based on the on the one or more items of interest to the first user. At least a second user is identified based in part on at least one predetermined criterion and based in part on the second user having at least one or more items of interest corresponding to the one or more items of interest of the first user and the one or more items upon which the group was formed. Once the group is formed, the second user is automatically notified of the formation of the group. A third user is identified based on at least a second one of a predetermined criterion and the third user is given access to the group.

摘要: A component based software program, where each component is based on a component-type. Component-types are created from base classes comprising slot definitions. The slot definitions are identified and stored in a component-type object. One or more components of the component-type are created, each comprising a reference, to a component-type object and a slotmap having storage locations for values associated with property slots definitions, in the component-type object. Values for property slots are entered into components by being placed in the storage locations. Also disclosed is a method for automatically designating unique names to components. One root component is created. Further non-root components are placed within the root component or within other components, so that all components form a tree structure. A component is assigned a unique identification string, comprising a sequential list of all of the component's ancestors and the component's name.

摘要: An application programmer's interface provides a facility for accessing metadata describing the content or attributes of information material. The application programmer's interface comprises a signalling protocol processor operable to receive a metadata string which includes a resource identifier providing an address of a metadata resource, and a file transfer processor operable to provide access to the metadata resource in accordance with a request from the application program. The signalling protocol processor provides an efficient facility for communicating the metadata string. The metadata string may be in the form of a mark-up language such as XML. The metadata resource may be for example a proxy version of the information material, such as a video proxy if the information material is video. Accordingly, the file transfer processor is arranged to provide efficient access to the video proxy using the address provided with metadata string. The address may be a Uniform Resource Identifier address allowing access to the resource from any network linked via the World Wide Web. The application programmer's interface therefore provides a standard interface format for making metadata and metadata resources available to application programs.

摘要: The invention provides compositions for increasing the clearance of protein aggregates, and pharmaceutical compositions comprising them, and methods for making and using them, including methods for accelerating protein aggregate clearance in the CNS, e.g., for treating diseases that are characterized by protein aggregation—including some degenerative neurological diseases such as Parkinson's disease. In one aspect, the compositions of the invention specifically target synuclein, beta-amyloid and/or tau protein aggregates, and the methods of the invention can be used to specifically prevent, reverse, slow or inhibit synuclein, beta-amyloid and/or tau protein aggregation. In alternative embodiments, the compositions and methods of the invention, are used to treat, prevent, reverse (partially or completely) or ameliorate (including slowing the progression of) degenerative neurological diseases related to or caused by protein aggregation, e.g., synuclein, beta-amyloid and/or tau protein aggregation. In one aspect, compositions and methods of this invention are used to treat, prevent or ameliorate (including slowing the progression of) Parkinson's disease, fronto-temporal dementia (FTD), Alzheimer's Disease (AD), Lewy body disease (LBD) and Multiple system atrophy (MSA).

摘要: An alarm system can include one or more processors. Such processors can receive physiological parameter data associated with a patient. The one or more processors can also select an alarm pattern based at least in part on an indicator of an attribute of the patient. The alarm pattern can include a plurality of different thresholds and corresponding periods of time. Further, the one or more processors can generate an alarm when a value associated with the physiological parameter data satisfies at least one threshold of the plurality of thresholds for the period of time corresponding to the at least one threshold.
