Abstract:
Methods to recover over 95 percent of oil and gas from shale fracturing, oil sands, biomass, and hydrates and from deep water wells. Employing CO2, H2O2, some proprietary chemicals, metals and proppants, raising the temperature of the mixture and using the mixture in shale fracturing, oil sands, biomass and gas hydrates to dislodge the gas and oil. Additionally, safety devices capable of pressure reduction at the reservoir in the production well bore upstream of a BOP are included. No water is used and no waste water is produced.
Abstract:
An oral drug delivery system comprising a coated tablet having one or more surfaces. The coated tablet further comprises a core and a coating surrounding the core. The core comprises an active ingredient composition comprising at least one active ingredient and a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient and a composition selected from a swellable composition and a reactive composition located in an immediate vicinity of one or more preselected surfaces. The coating comprising water insoluble polymer(s) and leachable component(s) is operable to be reliably removed fully from the one or more of the preselected surfaces of the tablet upon contact with an aqueous environment, but not removed from at least one of the surfaces.

Abstract:
A method, system, computer system and computer program product to distribute data to arbitrarily large subsets of a very large client base, with each client computer system running client software referred to as an agent. The data distribution system uses minimal server resources and a large-scale network such as the Internet. The data to be distributed may include, for example, agent software configuration data; agent software programs, plug-ins, and associated data; announcements; and other data that is centrally managed by an administrator. Using this invention, millions of client computer systems, such as computer systems for subscribers to a broadband service, can be configured and managed centrally, while allowing data to be distributed to all or a subset of subscribers efficiently and using minimal bandwidth. Agents assist in determining whether particular data are to be distributed to them, enabling much larger-scale applications to be supported with limited server-side resources.
Abstract:
This invention covers a process for making Octene from nix C4 Feed by a low cost highly selective multistage process. The multi staging of reactors essentially provides lower cost than conventional processes. Two options are provided in FIGS. 1 and 2 as regards to configuration based on the same catalyst but as can be seen that FIG. 1 configuration is low cost option with very high selectivity. The process provides conversion of butene to Octene >95% and product purity >96%. Product can be fractionated and can have a high purity Octene product by removing the trimers/polymers from the octene product. As mentioned due to the nature of the process configuration, one achieves high yield and selectivity with low cost.
Abstract:
The invention provides a composition for delivering active agents through transmucosal administration, more particularly through the buccal mucosa. The composition is a unique transmucosal disk (10) which has two compartments (14) and (18); the compartments consist of at least one active agent and at least one mucoadhesive agent and both the compartments are adapted to be in contact with the mucosal membrane. The invention also provides for transmucosal administration of an active agent and method of treatment of diseases in a subject in need of such treatment.
Abstract:
The combination of low intensity pulsed ultrasound with administration of an osteogenic protein or proteins or their genes enhances bone repair in mammals. This combination avoids thermal activation of tissue repair mechanisms and allows the osteogenic protein or proteins or their genes to act at the site of bone fracture or lowered bone density to enhance or accelerate bone formation, thereby improving the prognosis of a patient. The combination may be used to treat fractures, to prevent or treat osteoporosis, to improve outcomes for bone replacement and to prevent or treat bone loss due to other physiologic disorders.
Abstract:
An optical encoder includes a code strip having a first side, a second side, a first track comprising indicia thereon, and a second track comprising indicia thereon. The code strip is moveable along a displacement path with respect to the optical encoder. A light source positioned on the first side of the code strip directs light toward the code strip. A first detector element is positioned on the second side of the code strip and is generally aligned with the first track of the code strip. A second detector element is positioned on the second side of the code strip and is generally aligned with the second track of the code strip. The second detector element is also positioned so that the second detector element is located a spaced distance along the displacement path from the first detector element.
Abstract:
A homogenous substantially alcohol free composition of Cyclosporin which comprises a cyclosporin in a hydrophilic carrier medium comprising propylene glycol, esters of propylene glycol with C4 to C12 fatty acids and polyoxyethylene hydrogenated castor oils wherein the ingredients are present in the following range, Cyclosporin 1-25% w/w, Propylene Glycol 2.5-70% w/w, Esters of propylene glycol with C4 to C12 fatty acids 2.5-70% w/w and Polyoxyethylene hydrogenated Castor oils 2.5-70% w/w.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a printed circuit board, and a method of preparing a printed circuit board, which possesses a coefficient of thermal expansion substantially similar to that of silicon for use in direct semiconductor chip attach structures and similar solder mounted devices. The printed circuit board is fabricated from prepreg having a thermosetting resin and a reinforcement layer consisting of non-woven aramid mat or a liquid crystalline polymer paper. The composite dielectric layer optionally includes plated through holes which are either filled or non-filled, and one or more thin film redistribution layers to provide high density electronic packages. The design places the solder pads at the PTHs where needed. The redistribution layer can be formed using photoimagable dielectrics or laminated controlled-CTE composites and laser via imaging.
