摘要: A method, system, and medium are provided for adaptively providing network access to mobile devices. The mobile devices have a first interface for a wireless access network and a second interface for a personal area network. The wireless access network connects the mobile devices to a base station, and the personal area network connects the mobile device to other mobile devices that are part of the personal area network. Wireless access conditions are generated by the base station and communicated over the wireless access network to mobile devices that generate network access requests. Additionally, the mobile devices may transmit the wireless access conditions over the personal are network to other mobile devices that are within a predetermined distance. The mobile devices detect that the wireless access conditions in the wireless access network have degraded and adaptively select alternate routes to complete the network access requests.

摘要: Computer-readable media, systems, and methods for automated device activation are described. In embodiments, an activation message is received from a non-provisioned mobile device identifying a user account. In various embodiments, it is determined whether activation is authorized and, if it is determined that activation is authorized, the non-provisioned mobile device is activated. In various other embodiments, it is determined whether activation is authorized by sending a confirmation message to a provisioned mobile device and receiving an authorization message from the provisioned mobile device.

摘要: A system in which drooping of the video levels due to leakage currents and proper DC bias level is addressed by providing a charge into the video signal to offset the leakage currents and to provide DC bias. To determine the leakage current level, measurements are made measuring the voltages of the syncs and the blanking intervals. To determine the DC bias, a measurement is made of the sync. Over a series of video lines these measurements are averaged. If the average is below the desired level, a charge is provided via a current source to the incoming signal. By having the current source provide charge during each video line, droop is reduced and the proper DC bias is provided.

摘要: A video decoder in which the video source clock is generated entirely in the digital domain is disclosed herein. By creating a virtual version of the source clock in a numeric oscillator, the amount of noise in the system is substantially reduced. Furthermore, by transferring the digitized video signal, sampled with an asynchronous crystal clock, into the source clock domain, the accuracy of the brightness (amplitude) and color (phase) information can be greatly enhanced.

摘要: Fault resilient booting of complex multi-rail processors in an information handling system insures that all processor voltage rails are functioning properly before any processor fetches operating software code. In addition, the information handling system will automatically reboot when one or more of the processors fail during either a built-in self test (BIST) or a power failure provided that there is at least one good processor remaining in the information handling system to power-on self-test (POST) the information handling system again.
