摘要: A method, system, and medium are provided for adaptively providing network access to mobile devices. The mobile devices have a first interface for a wireless access network and a second interface for a personal area network. The wireless access network connects the mobile devices to a base station, and the personal area network connects the mobile device to other mobile devices that are part of the personal area network. Wireless access conditions are generated by the base station and communicated over the wireless access network to mobile devices that generate network access requests. Additionally, the mobile devices may transmit the wireless access conditions over the personal are network to other mobile devices that are within a predetermined distance. The mobile devices detect that the wireless access conditions in the wireless access network have degraded and adaptively select alternate routes to complete the network access requests.

摘要: A method. The method comprises maintaining a regional data store of landscape models for each of a plurality of base stations, wherein each regional data store is proximate to its corresponding base station and wherein each landscape model is derived from a plurality of images of a landscape located proximate to the base station. The method further comprises receiving a request for a landscape image from a mobile access terminal in the serving area of a first base station, wherein the first base station is one of the plurality of base stations and wherein the request for the landscape image identifies a landscape model maintained by the first base station. The method further comprises transmitting the landscape image to the mobile access terminal by the first base station, wherein the landscape image is created based on the landscape model identified in the request.

摘要: In some embodiments, a method is provided. The method includes receiving an augmented reality request from a mobile access terminal. The method also includes identifying a context for the augmented reality request and a feature set supported by the mobile access terminal associated with the augmented reality request. The method also includes mapping the identified feature set and the context to a subset of available augmented reality operations. The method also includes executing the subset of available augmented reality operations to generate augmented reality content corresponding to the augmented reality request. The method also includes streaming the augmented reality content to the mobile access terminal associated with the augmented reality request for playback.
