摘要: A transceiver assembly for mounting on a mother board, said transceiver assembly comprising: (a) a frame defining a first plane configured for mounting parallel to said motherboard, said frame defining a plurality of slots perpendicular to said first plane; and (b) one or more opto-electric cards, each of said one or more opto-electric cards disposed in one of said plurality of slots and comprising at least, (i) a substrate having a first edge parallel to said first plane when said opto-electric card is mounted in said slot, (ii) an electrical interface along said first edge, (iii) and an interposer electrically connected to said electrical interface and comprising at least one optical component operatively connected to said electrical interface, and (iv) at least one optical fiber extending freely from said interposer.

摘要: A contact assembly for a connector housing includes an adapter element and a contact element. The adapter element has a sleeve with a lead-through opening extending in an axial direction of the sleeve and with a threaded bore extending perpendicularly to the lead-through opening through the sleeve. The contact element is adapted to be inserted into the lead-through opening and latched to the sleeve. The contact element may exhibit varying types of a cable connection section and/or a contact section. The adapter element is receivable within the connector housing and may accept the contact element regardless of the type of cable connection section and/or contact section.

摘要: A contactless connector is provided and includes an inductive coupling element, a first contact lead, a second contact lead, a base plate, and an outer ferrite element. The inductive coupling element includes a plurality of windings, and the first contact lead and the second contact lead are connected to the plurality of windings and carry electric currents in opposing directions. The base plate includes a lead receiving passageway receiving both the first contact lead and the second contact lead, and the outer ferrite element is magnetically coupled to the base plate and partially surrounds the inductive coupling element.

摘要: A process for preparing a subassembly, the process comprising (a) defining the location of one or more grooves for receiving at least one polymer waveguide in a wafer, (b) etching the grooves into the wafer, each groove having sidewalls and a first facet at the terminal end perpendicular to the side walls, the first facet having a first angle relative to the top planar surface, (c) coating the first facet with a reflective material, and (d) disposing a fluid polymer waveguide precursor into each groove, and writing a core into the polymer material by directing at least one laser beam on the first facet by directing the laser beam into the top of the polymer material such that the beam reflects off of the first facet and down the interior of the polymer material to form the core in the polymer waveguide.

摘要: An electrical connector includes a housing and plural contact modules stacked adjacent to each other and held by the housing. Each contact module includes a contact array, a dielectric holder, and lossy blocks. The contact array includes signal contacts and ground contacts arranged in alternating pairs along a length of a column. The dielectric holder surrounds and engages the signal and ground contacts along intermediate segments thereof to secure the signal and ground contacts in place. The lossy blocks are mounted to the intermediate segments of the ground contacts within the dielectric holder. Each lossy block is associated with a corresponding pair of ground contacts and engages at least one of the ground contacts in the pair. The lossy blocks are composed of a lossy material that has a greater loss tangent than a low loss material that forms the dielectric holder.

摘要: The invention relates to contactless plug connectors and contactless plug connector systems for electromagnetically connecting a corresponding mating plug connector. In order to allow for an electromagnetic connection, the invention suggest providing at least one input terminal for inputting a baseband input signal; an antenna element arranged at the mating end of the contactless plug connector; and a transmitting circuit for modulating the inputted baseband input signal on a predetermined carrier frequency and for transmitting the modulated baseband input signal via the antenna element as a radio wave with the predetermined carrier frequency. In particular, the contactless plug connector and contactless plug connector system include an electromagnetic shielding element arranged to surround the transmitting circuit and the antenna element with a rim portion forming an opening at the mating end of the contactless plug connector.

摘要: The invention relates to a connecting terminal (1) for at least one electric line (6). The connecting terminal has a housing (9), a line receptacle (2) extending in a direction of the line (L) through the housing, and a cutting means (20). The cutting means (20) comprises a blade pocket (48) extending transversely to the direction of the line (L) and limited in the direction of the line by at least one stripping jaw (50) which is deflectable in the direction of the line, and a severing knife (38) oriented with its cutting edge (40) towards the blade pocket. The severing knife (38) and the blade pocket (48) are arranged to be movable relative to each other from a starting position (14) into a severing position (18). In the severing position, the severing knife at least virtually completely blocks off the line receptacle, and is received, at least in sections, in the blade pocket. This configuration makes it possible to sever the electric line cleanly at any point whatsoever by means of the connecting terminal.
