Abstract: A mounting device selectively engageable to a module-level power electronics (MLPE) device includes a body with an aperture, a first arm, and a second arm. The first arm extends from a first side of the body at a first arm angle relative to the body. The second arm extends from a second side of the body at a second arm angle relative to the body. When the aperture receives a fastener able to engage an extension of the MLPE, the first arm makes contact with a first surface of a frame section of a photovoltaic (PV) frame and holds the extension against a second surface of the frame section, securing the PV frame to the extension via the interconnecting mounting device. The first arm may include teeth operable to engage the frame section. The mounting device may include a tab operable to engage the extension.

Abstract: A mounting system for use with standing seams has a first side member with a mounting interface, a first foot, and a first aperture. A second side member of the mounting system has a first spacing arm, a second spacing arm, a second foot and a second aperture. The system may include a fastener extendable through the first aperture and the second aperture to secure the first side member to the second side member. One or more of the first spacing arm and the second spacing arm contact an interior surface of the first side member to ensure at least a minimum spacing between the first foot and the second foot when the first and second side members are secured together by the fastener.

Abstract: A mounting device or clamp is provided that can be secured to a roof joint without damaging the roof joint. Two roof panels can be joined at a roof joint that extends away from the roof. The clamp has a body with a slot to receive the roof joint. An insert of the clamp is rotatable relative to the body from a first position to a second position. The clamp body can be positioned over the roof joint, and the insert can rotate or pivot from the first position to the second position relative to the body to secure the clamp to the roof joint. In one embodiment, a body of the clamp has a first arm that is concave and the insert has a concave portion to engage the roof joint. Alternatively, in another embodiment, the insert can be connected to the clamp body such that either a first projection or a second projection of the insert faces a roof joint.

Abstract: A mounting device or bracket for paneled building surfaces is disclosed. The mounting bracket includes an upper wall in the form of a flat surface for supporting various types of attachments. An elongated mounting slot extends through the upper wall, and the mounting bracket includes an elongated nut receptacle that is positioned below this elongated mounting slot. With an attachment being positioned on the upper wall, an attachment fastener may be directed through the attachment, then through the elongated mounting slot, and then may be threadably engaged with a nut that is positioned within and movable along the nut receptacle in its elongated dimension. The elongated configuration of the mounting slot and nut receptacle provides adjustability for the position of the attachment fastener relative to the mounting bracket, including after the mounting bracket has already been installed on the building surface.

Abstract: A mounting system selectively engageable to a panel projection extending from a metal panel defining a surface of a building. The mounting system comprises a mounting device with a body with a wall. First and second legs extend from the wall and are flexible with respect to the wall. The first leg comprises a first aperture that is unthreaded and which has a first interior diameter. The second leg comprises a second aperture which has a second interior diameter that is less than the first interior diameter. The second aperture may optionally be threaded. The mounting system further comprises a clamping fastener with a shaft that may extend into the first aperture and out of the second aperture. The clamping fastener may be tightened to draw the first and second legs together to engage the panel projection and removably secure the mounting device to the panel projection.
