Abstract: A refrigerator is provided. The refrigerator may include a body having storage chambers formed therein, and a compressor, a condenser, an expansion device, and an evaporator that form a refrigerating cycle to cool the storage chambers. The condenser may include a refrigerant condensation channel through which refrigerant from the compressor passes and a working fluid evaporation channel through which working fluid is evaporated due to heat exchange with the refrigerant passing through the refrigerant condensation channel. The condenser may be connected with a hot line, through which the working fluid evaporated through the working fluid evaporation channel flows and discharges heat to reduce condensation.

Abstract: A digital television (DTV) receiving system includes an information detector, a timing recovery unit, a carrier recovery unit, and a phase compensation unit. The information detector detects position information of a known data sequence periodically repeated in a DTV signal and estimates an initial frequency offset value. The timing recovery unit performs timing recovery on the DTV signal by detecting timing error information from the DTV signal using the position information. The carrier recovery unit performs carrier recovery on the DTV signal using the position information. The phase compensation unit compensates a phase offset of the DTV signal using the position information.

Abstract: The data transmission rate on the reverse link in a mobile communications system is controlled by determining an interference level at a base station due to signals from all mobile stations served by the base station, and determining a transmission energy level required for each mobile station. The interference level is compared with the transmission energy level to obtain a comparison result for each mobile station, and each mobile adjusts its data transmission rate based upon the comparison result, which is sent via a common channel on a forward link to each mobile station in a dedicated manner. Thereafter, packet data is transmitted on the reverse link in accordance with the adjusting so that data throughput can be maximized.
